  • NOT recommended for Airbnb, VRBO, Vacation Rental, Constant software and access issues
Color: Oil-Rubbed Bronze Style: Keypad
These locks have been a nightmare. Purchased 6 of these units and Installed on a multi-family property with 4 units and 2 entry doors. Their software can't handle multiple locks and multiple units. I can't even remove old codes off their system due to a glitch in the app. The locks constantly disconnect from the wifi connection and often drain batteries without any warning. Im now stuck with a large investment in 6 of these locks for my property and have to spend so much time with programming each lock individually per guest which is often multiple locks access at a time. I asked them for a refund because these were being promoted as vacation rental locks. However, they are not and very glitchy causing guest complaints. I would like a refund for these locks so I can purchase something else. ... show more

  • Not as great as YRD226-ZW2-619 deadbolt -- No network module included!!!
Color: Satin Nickel Style: Keypad
I had bought a YRD226-ZW2-619 deadbolt and was extremely pleased. I expected to have a similar experience with this one, but not so. First off, this doesn't come with a network module, so you have to pony up $50 more to purchase one. Second, the installation is more painful. The backplate has a spring loaded hook at the bottom that makes it difficult to get the plate flush against the door. I still haven't managed to do that. Thirdly, the UI for adding codes on the lock itself is confusing. The YRD226 speaks out the options that you selected. This one does no such thing. I've managed to accidentally overwrite the master pin and I'm dreading removing the backplate to reset the damn thing. I hate this lock and I'm going to return it once I find a replacement. ... show more

  • It’s a Yale, so should be good.
Color: Satin Nickel Style: Keypad
This is a Yale lock, so I expected a sturdy mechanically sound product, and that’s what I got. This is the least expensive lock in the series, and it does exactly what I wanted, and nothing I didn’t want. It has a key override if the electronics fail or the batteries die. The primary feature I needed was a lock that locks itself once unlocked, and that’s what it does, regardless of how it was unlocked. It can be set to lock between 30 seconds and 3 minutes. The instructions are extremely well done, making the installation easy to get right the first time. Programming was not hard if you follow the instructions. A little expensive, but it’s a Yale, not some Chinese knockoff. Depends how important security is. ... show more

  • Happy with this lock
Color: Satin Nickel Style: Touchscreen
After living with this lock for two weeks, I am happy with it's performance. I did not install the wifi module since I really didn't need it. I just wanted to go keyless and skip the complications of the wifi setup. I wish there were different lever options - I'd prefer a straight lever vs the curved one the unit comes with. Hopefully, Yale reads these reviews and will consider offering lever options in the future. My only (small) complaint with the lock's operation is that if you brush the touchpad face with your sleeve etc, while the lock is open it will lock itself. Kind of annoying when you have the door open and you are moving stuff in and out and you brush the touchpad. Not a big deal and not something that should keep anyone from buying this lock. I would buy another if I needed it. ... show more

  • This is perfect if you understand what you’re buying
Color: Satin Nickel Style: Keypad (No Yale Smart Module)
If you can get this without the smart wireless part, go ahead and do so. This like many have mentioned this would not fit a door with a deadbolt however there is a product for that already by Yale. This is for what I’d call the garage back door or auxiliary door. Take your time installing, if you can get someone to help you as it’s nice to have two more hands. Read, read, read and watch a video. Then install with instructions. ... show more

  • Love this one, bought another as a gift!
Color: Satin Nickel Style: Keypad (No Yale Smart Module)
Have the deadbolt for the front door, so knew what to expect when I bought this for the entry from the garage. SmartThings geofencing works well to have this unlocked just when I need it to be and locked all the rest of the time. Almost never have to use the keypad—only if I spend more than 3 minutes in the garage and it auto-locks. Quiet, reliable operation on all of these Yale keyless electronic locks with Z-Wave+ capability. ... show more

  • Get the touchscreen version.
Color: Satin Nickel Style: Key Free Keypad
It's okay. But for the money saved compared to touchscreen version... well, I feel that you should pay a few more bucks and get exactly that, the touchscreen version. Oh, and the door handle installation can be a little confusing. Read the manual thoroughly, make sure all your parts are there before you get started, and make sure no plastic parts break. The August Connect console is especially infuriating, if you have more than one of these smart locks; it's one device per Connect. Good luck. ... show more

  • Mostly a fantanstic lock
Color: Oil-Rubbed Bronze Style: Keypad
This was easy to install, looks to be well made and was also easy to program. My only issue with it is that I would like to see a feature to enable the button lights to be activated somehow. In a dark doorway, if I hit the wrong button first, then I have to cancel the entry and start again: no biggie, except that the back-light immediately goes out, leaving me guessing where to press the correct button again..... ... show more
