I tried to cancel this item because I read a few negative reviews after I ordered it. I didn’t see any that mention the worst possible thing a bed could have, but I’m sure there must be some. In the middle of both sides of the bed are big square chunks of wood that holds the two pieces of the bed together in the middle for each side. My photos will show you what I’m talking about. I cannot believe there is a rather sharp edged square where walk to the make the bed, or just casually walking around the bed. I put a long bed spread so you can’t even see it if you do that. Even if you had a tucked in bed spread, you would never think there is something like that in the middle of the bed. I spent hours putting the bed together myself, it looked great and I had no problems with parts or assembly. I was happy with it l, until I made the bed up with sheets and spread. While leaning over the place pillows , I hit the chunky leg on the side with my smaller toes in my foot (I was wearing a sneaker, so I can’t imagine being barefoot). I saw stars and immediately put ice on my toes. It’s still numb and throbbing, I believe a toe or two might and im not happy! Luckily I received a refund rightaway from the seller and Amazon. It should cover my copay for the X-ray I will be going to. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS BEFORE PURCHASE! I can imagine a little kid hitting their foot on it! This is a hazard. I will have to replace it, because this is for my guest room where my grandchildren will stay. I don’t want anyone who is our guest to hurt themselves on a bed. Bad design! ... show more
