* update , bought a second one for my son. Just as impressed! I'm not easy to impress and I hate bad design more than anything. This bed was an absolute joy to unpack and assemble. bought it for my daughter. first impressions: it's double boxed so it arrived completely without damage. This. thing. is. sturdy. I expected poor welds and cheap paint. instead it's powder coated, really nice welds, like, robot welded nice. clear picture instructions, all the parts plus spares. usually I've already started grumbling about quality but I seriously had a grin on my face the whole time assembling it. I couldn't stop admiring the heftiness of the steel. all. the. holes lined up. it practically squares itself. the little Allen wrench is all you need but I got a longer one out of the tool chest so two of us could assemble it. took about 20 minutes. there's a moment where I couldn't figure out which way the center "spine" should face, one side has a layer of velvety tape on it, and that turns out to be designed to make the "ribs" that support the mattress not squeak by rubbing against the "spine" nice touch! the 3 sided rubber grommets in the frame are also isolators so the ends of the ribs don't squeak and rattle when you turn over. one tip, when inserting the "ribs" into the holes with the rubber grommets, take care not to push part of the grommet into the side of the frame along with the end of the rib. the grommet has three sides and a groove that grabs onto the frame. the rubber plug that locks the rib into the frame fits perfectly and goes all the way in ONLY if the grommet is seated correctly around the edge of the hole and isolating the rib. very good tolerances and again, I was impressed with the simplicity of the design. my wife actually asked me if I had gotten it put together because she didn't hear a single F-Bomb. I like it so much, my son asked for one when he moves out in a few weeks and I'm buying another one.

The instructions are very hard to cypher for the headboard (which is the only difficult piece), in fact mom and daughter had a piece in backwards, twice! Once we got that corrected it was relatively easy to assemble, absolutely essential to have two people, this is NOT a one person assembly for a seasoned assembler. Looks great, surprisingly sturdy. A good purchase.

Wanted something that eliminates box springs and nothing wood as I know wood over time warps and cracks. As with most large loose items purchases, I went through everything in the box to make sure it was there before I begin and waste time is something is missing. Assembly for the most part was straight forward and fairly easy. Just need to pay attention to the instructions and look at the pics closely as some parts you assemble from the back (headboard etc). The initial holding the headboard section up I did have a helping hand then everything else was fairly easy on my own again. Fully assembled its at a good height, slightly lower than my previous setup...costco cheap frame with a box spring and same pillowtop mattress. It is much solid feeling, no noise whats so ever. No loose movement from the headboard section either. Only dislike is the corners by your feet you need to get used to as my Shin found it a few times already. Space under bed is adequate wish it was a bit higher so it could accommodate those black and yellow storage bins but gets the job done. Threw a old bed skirt on the bottom to hide everything underneath. I'm topping the 300lb mark and shes in the 150lb mark and bed is quiet when getting up in the middle of the night.

Purchased for my husband. It wasn't too difficult to put together, pretty easy actually, just took some patience. So far it seems sturdy. It does "creak" a bit when getting on and off or rolling over kind of hard and I've noticed 2 bars pop out consistently but it's easy to get them back it. I'm a bit disappointed with how low the headboard is, not very noticable above 2 pillows, but all in all it's a nice looking bed. The mattress stays in place, doesn't slide. Just be aware of the extra side legs, I've stubbed my toes a million times already!

It was fairly easy to assemble, instructions were clear, and had all the parts and tools needed. The length is slightly longer than a normal queen size, my mattress moves around a little bit but itโs not terrible.
