The chair material is of high quality, no blemishes, marks and the color (black) is consistent overall (no lighter/darker areas). I found the chair back and seat to be very firm initially however now that I've had it for a few months and the chair is "broken in" it's very comfortable. As noted, this isn't a full sized chair. As far as size, by analogy, it's wider and a lot more comfortable than a coach seat but not as wide as a 1st class seat. I didn't expect much for the price I paid, but I really like this small recliner. I am 5'4" and 140lbs. and the chair is perfect for me. It does fully recline and will stay put without "springing" back--which I was really hoping for--because my previous recliner annoyed me by this. I find it quite comfortable and the price was very reasonable. I like that it doesn't take up a lot of space, and I also like the blue linen fabric that I chose. This works for me as I’m small and 5’2. It’s not very wide at all. There’s no lever to recline (use arms to push) which might be difficult for the elderly. There’s two reclining positions: sitting up and sitting back. Foot rest could be higher for the first position and my feet hang over just a bit with my short height. The foot rest is perfect only in the second position when reclined all the way back. The second position doesn’t just lock in place easily. You have to leverage your weight and position to remain there. If you move slightly, it pops back up to first recline. It’s not as bad as perhaps it sounds, but I’m just giving the facts.
