We bought this topper for our Christmas tree because we liked the fact that it can change colors and also has different lighting effects. It was a nice topper on the tree, however, it's hard to hide the bulky battery pack if your tree isn't fully decorated. I did a simple decoration to my tree which was just the regular ball ornaments and the instax pictures of friends and family. Even when I tried to hide the battery pack in the back of the tree where no one would see it, it was still visible from the sides of the tree so that was the only dislike. ... show more

We loved the look, the variety of colors, changing lights and brightness. It is plastic, but it is also light weight. It is battery operated and also has a USB plug. While this is a convenience in some ways, it did not plug in to the string of lights on the tree. Of course you can use a usb plug, but I was not sure about putting that outside in winter weather. The battery and remote make up for this if the tree is close to the house as the remote only works within about 10 feet. Overall we liked the product. ... show more

The mount is tiny- was hard to fit on the branch. It kept tipping over so I ended up taping it onto the branch so it would stay in place. It looks nice. I like the lights and they match the lights on the tree. I light the flashing light mode and enjoy watching it. The battery life is pretty awful. I just bought a big pack of AA batteries because I like to have it on for about 5 hours in the evening, and am currently changing the batteries every 3 days. Honestly I seem to get about 12 hours of good battery like. The last 3ish hours are very faded and dull and it’s clear the batteries are dying. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. GARBAGE! WASTE OF MONEY. (I don't write many reviews but I just had to worn people) 1) remote is so cheap it would be a wonder if it worked more than once christmas season. 2)when you change the colors on the remote they don't always work and the colors don't change. 3)) the star was vibrant the 1st 4 days of use. It has since faded so badly I thought it couldn't have gone through the brand name good new batteries I just put in. Well i changed the batteries and you can see the star brightness is terrible and some lights don't even work any longer in the star leaving me to believe the bulbs are already failing. ***Just disappointed for sure. I changed up my tree this year and spent weeks looking for a new tree topper after using my angel that no longer matches for 20 yrs (and her lights never went out). Now I have nothing and need to get something new again. ... show more

The plastic tube that attaches the Star to the tree was cracked so I had to rig it with scotch tape. The remote worked once, but stopped working after that, even with a new battery. So there is no way for me to change the color or turn it on/off. Very disappointed in this product. While it was briefly working it was very nice looking with the changing colors. ... show more
