I got this case for my iPad 8th gen to use for school as well as keeping it as my drawing tablet. Things I like: 1. Itās very well built, itās sturdy when using it as a makeshift laptop and the keys feel good when typing. 2. Itās heavy, but I like this aspect of it, it feels like good quality and I like the rubber/fabric ish texture it has. 3. I LOVE thatās itās detachable, I can just pluck it off the magnetic keyboard case and just use it to draw. Itās also not hard to remove my iPad from the case like other brands of cases, very easy and snug when inserting it. 4. I love how you can securely close it with the magnetic flap, unlike others this one closes and stays closed, instead of flapping open. Things I donāt like: 1. Honestly the only problem I currently have with this case is the small Apple Pencil holder. I use a thicker cover for my Apple Pencil to help with the grip and thickness of it for my wrist. Now this isnāt a huge deal breaker but I was kinda looking forward to this function. So if youāre looking for a case that also holds your Apple Pencil, and really want that function, either donāt use a cover for the pencil, or get a different version of this cover. Again, not a dealbreaker for me.

I also own the Apple Magic Keyboard but prefer the Zagg keyboard for so many different reasons. The main thing I really didnāt like about the Apple keyboard is it didnāt provide wrap-around protection to my iPad. Unfortunately I dropped the Apple Keyboard (in the closed position with my iPad inside) a couple of times, and each time the iPad fell out or got damaged around its edges. On the other hand, this Zagg keyboard is PERFECT! It provides great wrap-around protection with a shock-absorbing rubber bumper. I also love that the keyboard and bumper are two separate pieces, allowing me to remove the iPad from the keyboard without having to remove it from the bumper. Other great things about the Zagg: ā¢ Keyboard feels good (9/10). For comparison, I would rate the Magic Keyboard as a 10/10. ā¢ Has hot keys that the Magic Keyboard doesnāt have. ā¢ I personally like that it has a separate battery and doesnāt cause parasitic drain on the iPadās battery (with the Apple keyboard, my iPad seemed to run out of juice too quickly.) ā¢ Unlike the Apple keyboard, the Zagg has a built-in holder for the Apple pen! And when you close up the keyboard, it securely holds the pen in place so you donāt lose it. The holder is also positioned along the side of the iPad, allowing the pen to continue charging. (With the Apple keyboard, I frequently didnāt bring the pen with me for fear of losing it). ā¢ It can be paired with two different Bluetooth devices and quickly switched between the devices just by pressing an assigned hot key button. This is a FANTASTIC feature that more Bluetooth devices should incorporate (in fact, I would prefer if it had THREE hot keys to pair it with three different devices). I use the keyboard to switch between my iPad and iPhone. ā¢ The Apple keyboard has an advantage in terms of the joint connecting the keyboard to the iPad is really strong and stays in whatever position you place it. Thatās not true of the Zagg, which has two different slots that the bottom of the iPad must be placed into in order to keep it open. But (and again, this is a GREAT design feature), the two slots have a very strong magnet so when you place the iPad into it, it essentially locks into place. Iāve never owned a Zagg product before but am really impressed by the quality and excellent design features of this keyboard.

After 2 weeks, I like this keyboard, solid feel, works great, the only issues are it's heavy and the iPad holder is very snug (I had a heck of a time getting the iPad into the wrap-around holder). When it's put together with the iPad Air 11" (the version I have) the weight is as much as many 13" laptops. I would give up some battery for lighter weight. That said, it's definitely solid, no flimsy feeling like some lighter laptops and the keyboard functions very nicely. One other issue, while not impossible, it's much easier to fully disconnect the keyboard if you need to use the iPad in the portrait position, as the weight of the keyboard makes using the iPad in portrait very difficult without laying it on the keyboard with the keys facing down. Once the keyboard is detached, which is easy to do, the cover does not work as a stand to hold the iPad, the structure/strength of the cover is all in the keyboard. While I do recommend this cover/keyboard, if weight is important, you may want to look at others.

Key quality, durability, battery duration, connectivity, looks great after the years, feels even better! Writing on this feels like writing on a computerās keyboard! Keys are well spaced. Its quite heavy but i do not care about weight. And you will no lose your apple pencil as it has a space dedicated for it and secure! Ive have had this for more than 2 years and omg this battery lasts forever! If i have charged this 4 times is too much probably 2 or 3 times in all that time!

I had the Pro Keys 2 for my iPad Air 4th generation and it was perfect; magnets were strong and sturdy and a bit heavy but it felt expensive for what it was. This specific one for the iPad Pro M4 is at least 2 times heavier, and the case is so bulky. This one take its a step further, the flaps that wrap the keyboard has a magnet that is very frustrating to use, its not that strong so when you pick it up, the flap and the keyboard would just swing its own way. Another thing is, on the ipad air version, when you dock it onto the divet, the keyboard turns on automatically and connects right away, for this one, I have to power it on and connect it to bluetooth #1 (button) Its nice to use, but to carry its like a giant Highschool book. Im returning it unfortunately.
