you kinda get what you pay for. doesnt have a blender that i can find anywhere. does heat up quickly but the pour is a hit and miss, sometimes its a 15 second pour sometimes its 2 and shuts off.

I am a newbie to making espresso and I have no desire to make it my hobby. I didn't want to spend ridiculous amount of money for an espresso machine just to continue my newly formed habit that I picked up during my recent trip to France. I initially thought this machine was a piece of junk. Like the other reviewer stated, I too couldn't lock the portafilter into place without unreasonable amount of force. Also, I couldn't get the steam wand to work like it should. I actually started the return process thinking there was something very wrong with the machine. But when I tried what I thought was one last time, I discovered that... 1. The portafilter needs to be filled to a millimeter or so below the rim. I was filling it all the way up to the rim and it was the reason why it was difficult to lock it into the machine. Now the portafilter slides into place easily. 2. The steam wand shoots out hot water for a second or so before steam comes out. So, after the steam button changes from blinking to solid, I collect the hot water in a different cup first, then I put the wand in milk. Also, when I used almond milk and home made cashew milk, it produced no froth, but when I used oat milk (I used OATLY brand), it did. I still don't care for the quality or amount of the froth, so for my cappuccino, I use a separate hand frother I purchased from Amazon. I basically use the steam wand to heat the milk and use a hand frother to get the froth to be exactly how I like it. I am okay with that. I didn't think I would be happy with the machine, but I actually am. I feel like the detective work I had to do could have been avoided if a better instruction manual was provided, but this is one of the cheapest espresso machines out there, so I am glad that I was able to make it work. I bought the high end machine but the frother was very loud, so i ended up not using it. Since i love my coffee the morning, so try to buy cheap ones, for me if it doesn’t work at least it doesn’t hurts my pocket that much. But to my surprise this machine works good and makes a perfect cappuccino. Now we are not using a instant coffee anymore. ... show more

Happy to receive this machine nevertheless does not work. Water is not pumping thru the system. I can hear the pumps working but the water is not flowing. Don't buy! April 27 update - Since I am overseas and returning was not an option, I decided to open the machine and found that the water hoses were tangled inside, so just had to remove the tie wraps and accommodate the hoses inside and it worked. The problem is poor QC in the factory. For now the machine is working so I am going to upgrade to a 4 star review ... show more
