This knife is everything they said it was and some. So very impressed with the quality in craftsmanship and ability. Be extremely careful with this knife if you get it because the blade is RAZOR share. I had a not typical situation where a I needed to half a huge pack of thick cut bacon that was frozen solid and so I decided to see with it was really worth and it cut through that block of ice like butter and then as I was washing it my hand slipped off the blade and I barely even touched it and I do mean barely know I had because it laid finger open. It worth ever penny! I love it!!

So it's not a high end knife, but figured that going it. Not sure I'd call it hand forged either. That said it is high carbon steel, not some "high carbon stainless..." Real high carbon steel. Yes that does mean hand clean and oil it, no issue there. It is razor sharp right out of the box, like literally shave the hair off your arm razor sharp. Full tang, nice handle, hanging hole, and place for wrist lanyard (not included but probably not for everyone). Feel is good, nice wide blade with huge curved edge, does a great job slicing fall apart brisket cleanly. And then there is the presentation, now this is not going to impress your knife aficionado friends up close (what do you expect in this price range); however, slicing brisket it has way more style than a roast beef slicer, and with the hanging hole it now dresses up my kitchen wall when not in use.

This knife is amazing. It's very sharp an cuts through things like butter, but it's very safe. The blade isnt razor sharp where you could badly injure yourself, buy it cuts like a professional razor sharp knife. Perfect if you have little kids that could grab this or kids that might use it.

Let's start with the important aspects of this knife. It is not for people who are afraid of sharp knives. I think I could shave with this knife out of the box. Second this is an extremely high quality knife. It is hefty, long, and sharp. Perfect for long slices on meats like brisket and pork belly. This knife is for consistent slices from big cuts of meat. All this capability and on top of all that the knife looks really nice. You'll be the star of your next BBQ wielding this kitchen masterpiece.
