The media could not be loaded. The Xvive U2 is currently the best value and sound for the money, plus ease of operation make it a winner. My other guitarist and I both purchased this unit to try it out in out for our band. All of the testing that I have done were with guitars. Sound Quality. 5/5 Stars. Here it is, sound quality, one of the most important aspects to many guitarists that are tone nuts. How does this compare to a high quality cable? Simply put, this unit sounds amazing. You have the full feeling of dynamics and articulation with no lag time whatsoever. According to the manual there is a 6ms delay which is completely unnoticeable to me. There is a slight bass cut to the signal when compared to a cable. It's as if the lowest frequencies are slightly rolled off. This doesn't sound bad in any way and actually to my ears seems to get rid of some of the low mud and add clarity. One could argue that the tone actually seems to be improved. Other wireless units such as the line6 relay have a cable emulation mode which this one does not. When compared to a cable (based on sound quality alone) I would never hesitate to grab the Xvive U2 for any situation with maybe the exception for recording. There would NEVER be a point on stage where I would think to myself "having a wireless is nice for the freedom of movement , but I sure do wish it sounded and performed like a cable". I would take the Xvive U2 any time. Ease of use 5/5 Stars Turn both ends on and plug em in. That's it! Even if you are not tech savvy in any way there is not a single person on this planet that would have a hard time operating this unit. Think of this unit as less of a "guitar wireless system" and more of a "wireless cable." Just like a cable you have two 1/4 inch jacks, and that's it! Just plug in both ends just like you would a cable. There is no body pack transmitter to fumble with and no bulky receiver to plug in and mount on top of your amp or pedal board and plug in an ac adapter to power it. The Xvive U2 makes things much easier. Reliability 3/5 Stars Here is a category that I would have to take points away from. In other review's I see that many people have had units that have arrived dead, or quickly died. My other guitarist and I both ordered our own Xvive U2. I ordered both units using my amazon account. My other guitarists unit seemed fine for about a week, then suddenly his transmitter would not hold any charge at all. At first he thought he might have just left it on and forgot to recharge it, but he tried again and no luck. The light would light up to indicate that it is charging but it was just completely dead. I contacted Amazon customer service and they are sending a replacement. Also on my unit there seems to be a minor issue. Normally when the charge is complete the red light goes off to tell you its done. On my transmitter the red light never goes off to indicate a full charge so I don't know for sure when it is 100% done charging. There seems to be some quality control issues with this first batch. When I purchased my Xvive U2 it was only available in silver, but now it is also available in black. Hopefully they have fixed these quality control issues with the newer ones coming off the assembly line. Since my other guitarist and I both ordered a unit and one failed within a week that's only a 50% success rate. That being said, this unit is so awesome and impressive and convenient that I still would have to completely recommend this unit anyway. Amazon customer service was completely helpful and there is a replacement being mailed to me as of the writing of this review. Advantages *no cost to buy regular or rechargeable batteries *extremely simple operation *no need to set up a bulky wireless receiver on your amp/pedal board. Disadvantages *If the batteries are totally dead you can't just pop in fresh one, you would have to charge it up first. *The battery is not replaceable, so once it is worn out it MAY only hold charge for a short time. This remains to be seen. What I would like to see in the future. *When I bought my Xvive U2 I wished it came in black instead of silver, Now I see that they also make it in black, so my first wish already came true. *It comes with a usb y cable to charge both inits at the same time, but you will have to supply your own usb charging brick. This would have been a nice inclusion. *Right now it comes in a very nicely designed cardboard case. Since you will mostly likely be transporting this wireless back and forth to your gig It would be nice if it came with some sort of a hard-shell plastic travel case, similar to what you would carry a pair of sunglasses in. *In order to change channels on the unit you press the channel button and then it tells you if it is on channel 1,2,3,or 4 by blinking once, twice, thrice, or 4 times. It would be cool if future units used different colored led's for the different channel. Like Red, Blue Green or white for example. *I would be cool if they made an XLR version to turn your mic intro a wireless mic too. Conclusion. BUY THIS UNIT! This unit is amazing, Besides sounding and performing great, the price point makes it extremely affordable. I have owned several wireless units and this outperforms others that were in the $500 price range. Even with the hiccup of receiving a faulty unit, I still would have to give this a 5/5 star rating fore sure.

I love this, it's great. i just use it at home for practicing and playing in the comfort of my home. i play my acoustic a lot, although i play the same thing on the acoustic i play on my electrics, acoustic has magical action and tone projection--but my main acoustic, the only one i play, started reacting to the low humidity and one note on it is unplayable, (it gets better when the humidity goes back up) and this got me thinking about why i don't play my electrics, and it was related to the fact that i like to sit in my reclining chair and do various things, watch TV, play blues harp, watch you tube videos, social media, and my acoustic is right there and can just grab it and play it. So, i realized, i'm not in the mood for cables and whatever clutter and confusion they might bring to my space and i thought, "hmmm. i wonder about getting a wireless thing for my electrics." and i looked on Amazon, and i was looking as some and they looked possible, and then i saw this one---wow, this is perfect for my needs. All i want is convenience, just grab my guitar and play, on impulse, no plan, just what feels good. I have a roland microcube amp in the bedroom, i figured i could get another one for the living room, but at least for starters, i could use the one i had. i ordered this, it was delivered fast with Prime Shipping (love that immediate gratification), and it was pure plug and play, everything worked perfectly and i was in my bedroom where the microcube was and i was like, wow, this was so easy and it sounds great. So i got up with the guitar and started walking all over my 1600 sq ft house. i could hear that little amp playing what was playing, no matter where in the house i went. Fun. I walked back to the bedroom. I smelled something burning. ???? i couldn't tell where it was coming from and wasn't sure if it was coming from the Wireless, since i had just put it on and the amp was always fine before, i've had it for close to 10 years. I took it to the family room where another electric guitar was and i tried playing the wireless with a different guitar, still not working. Tried playing it with cable, still not working. tried a different amp, still didn't work, was confused. But in the end, i eventually determined the MicroCube was toast and the Wireless Xvive worked fine with the other amp. It didn't at first, i think, because i needed to change the channel---doing this is all new to me, so i was a little slow to catch on. But i would say the Xvive wireless is kind of fool proof (me) and is very easy to work with. The directions helped me and were clear. How to use the controls (which are very few) is clearly explained. Because i had this crisis (described above) i called Xvive for help, late in the day, i called the number on their website. i got a voice mail and left a message. it was probably around 5:30pm my time. i also emailed them. I got an email back the next morning (it was a weekend). it was explained to me that had called on their day off and they would get back to me very soon. That night i was at a friend's gig at a small restaurant, before the music started but it was noisy in there. My cell rang, around 6:30-7pm. The number was not recognizable. It was a man who's name i am forgetting but he identified himself by name and said he was from Xvive and wanted to help me with my problem. I explained to him that the problem had been solved, it wasn't the Xvive, the amp had died, and that i love the Xvive, and am having fun with it. This was very important to the man, he was friendly and told me i could call him any time if i had a problem. It was hard to hear him because of noise where i was. I had an impression that he might be in China, i think there was something about that on the caller ID, which i had at first thought was a wrong number. Bottom line: my customer service experience was very good, there was pronounced concern that my Xvive was meeting my needs and expectations, communication was clear and friendly, support was professional and responsive. (I bought another MicroCube on Amazon with fast delivery, it was pre-owned but like new in original packaging and then was able to put my larger amp back in the closet, so now all the pieces fit as i had visualized, and this is a great solution for me to not clutter the space around my reclining chair and to still have electric guitar playing at my finger tips.) If you want easy plug and play, good sound, idiot proof instructions, connection strong from far away in other rooms, and professional caring customer support, and a fair price imo, i would recommend this, at least for the kind of circumstances i'm using it in, which is not on stage but i see no downside to using it on stage. Refer to other reviewers. i have had it for a month. Will update if relevant.
