I really wanted to purchase a laser cutter/engraver but was reluctant to spend several hundred dollars. I originally bought a much cheaper model that wouldn't run. I sent it back and bought the xTool F1 Light. What a difference! The machine worked out of the box with no problems. I literally set it up and completed my first project within 30 minutes of unboxing it! I did download the XCS software ahead of time and figured out the basics of it before the machine arrived. That made things move along a little quicker. This little machine is solidly built and easy to use. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

This laser is easy to use and seems to work well so far. I am having trouble finding tutorials for the mobile app but there is a number of videos using the PC app. I have not cut anything but I have etched several pieces and the results are impressive. I was able to figure out how to program it to do multiple passes and that improved the results on black anodized aluminum and slate. It is a good way to learn the basics of laser etching at a reasonable cost.

I am so glad that I got this xTool F1 Lite laser. Nice that it is small enough that I can take it to craft fairs and engrave and personalize crafts on the spot that I have previously created on my xTool S1. The F1 is really fast. Only negative thing is that I am limited to a 4x4 workspace which I knew when I ordered it. I plan to personalize lots of ornaments and add personalization to other small items. It only has the blue light laser so you cannot engrave all metals like the regular xTool F1 but a lot more affordable in price because of this. Very satisfied.

At 10W this is a considerably powerful laser in a pretty small package. I like how portable and easy to setup this is. Getting it out of the box and up and working was pretty easy. I appreciated that they had a mandatory safety video but wish they would have included laser safety glasses. Those are definitely something you will want!! Once everything was out of the box and setup, I was super impressed with how easy it was to start using… the app is pretty light on instructions but was fairly easy to figure out and we had our first design printing in a few minutes. My previous experience with a laser engraver was very intense with vectors and specific requirements but this was super easy! I especially love that it will project the image so you can confirm size and placement befor you start cutting.
