I fully understand that rubber straps deteriorate, and even more rapidly when used outdoors. But this quickly? In the photo, the strap on the left is at least 15 years old with no visible signs of cracking. It's been used year in and year out to help keep a grill cover in place and has endured numerous western NY winters. The strap on the right is the product in question. It has been in place for only one month and is beginning to look like it will snap soon, just like it's predecessor did after two months. These straps are made in China, which in itself I'm not knocking, but am guessing they're cutting corners on their vulcanization process. The lack of quality is plainly evident. ... show more
