  • Good to go
Pretty happy with the tablet.

  • Android 14
Its a quality tablet to be sure. I’ve had a go at all the name brand flagships, and while this isn't quite as fancy or fast, it's with a proper frame of reference that I say its a solid build, very responsive, let's me use as a display (via Dex) and with a keyboard for a light laptop feel and function. Creating "art" (im no expert) on it has been a fun time sucker, happy to report i spent little time (starting out with tutorials) figuring stuff out, most was just having fun. Really love the etched glass, so easy to keep smudge free (i literally wipe it clean with my bare hands), and its very responsive to either fingers or pen, which is where cheap tablets I've tried most often fail most annoyingly. The fancy pinky glove to keep from activating or smudging the screen is a nice touch, but I won't be carrying it as clean hands wont smudge it and the screen has been excellent about ignoring the parts of my hand that aren't at a point (like the tip of your fingers). Comes with a nice case that provides enough of a lip to prevent hard surface dirt from rubbing a scratch into the glass if you're so bold as to lay it face down. Honestly its everything I wanted... for now, and that's the only reason why not 5 stars: Mine shipped with Android 14, I understand some shipped 12, idk what to tell those people, not sure what chip theyre on, but the screen shot you see shows mine. Problem is we're on 16 as of this review, not sure when the support for this will stop, but i have 2 reasons to worry: 1) They don't seem to state it anywhere, whereas reputable brands boast about how long you can count on meaningful updates. 2) Also the other reason not 5 stars, there's a stunning lack of accessories on the market, which might mean they're not serious about the longterm viability of these things, though its not just this model, they straightup don't sell almost anything for any of their many devices. You can get a mini-pad (few programmable buttons for drawing) or a (not impressive) drawing stand. Word to the wise, update yours before connecting to public wifi- there's a known exploit for this chipset on 14 that is patched, but mine didn't shipped with it. It allows all kinds of mischief, isn't unique to this chip (its a 14 thing) but this chip is noted for its vulnerability via Bluetooth, it is recommended not to connect to public wifi before update. All that said, love it, recommend it, hope they up the support and accessories. ... show more

  • Waste of money!
It's bad the stylus doesn't work the OS is outdated just buy one off xppens website at least you'll get the new model and hopefully a better stylus. I'm disappointed in Xppen I think my brand loyalty ends here.

  • Great tablet for digital art on the go
I love this tablet. I got it with the intention of drawing and 3D sculpting. It works great for that purpose. Using Nomad Sculpt for sculpting and modeling works very smoothly. Drawing feel silky smooth on the matte screen. I would definitely purchase this product again.

  • An android that you can draw on
I have a few XP-Pen tablets and I really love the lower cost of their products because I'm not a professional animator and I just need it for basic drawing. I noticed a lot of negative reviews for this product and they aren't totally unjustified. First of all, this is an android tablet with the XP-Pen name and a stylus. It's not a premium art device created for serious drawing experiences. There's no proprietary XP drawing software that will load up and allow you to create a masterpiece out of the box. There is a decent paint program on there that you can get started with right away but it's filled with adds and you are constantly prompted to pay to use brushes and features. I really wasn't satisfied enough with it to spend money and a search on the Google Play store didn't yield anything that came close to Procreate. The stylus felt a bit unsatisfying to use. It has a bouncy tip that got frustrating to use and I opted instead for the stylus that came with my full sized XP Artist tablet. Also with the Artist, I didn't need to wear the included glove because my palm doesn't register as touch. With this tablet, I was constantly undoing my drawings with my palm tap. This was something I can disable on the iPad. In fact, using this device made me realize that none of the entry level XP Pen products comes close to the drawing experience that I have on the iPad and that is where the device really misses the mark. You would think that XP would create a tablet for a satisfying portable drawing experience. Instead, they got a device and leveraged it for portable drawing. That's fine if you don't want to shell out a lot of money for an iPad pro and you just want to doodle and have an inexpensive tablet. If you are really serious about drawing on a portable tablet, do yourself a favor and buy an iPad Pro. ... show more
