This artificial turf rug has been surprisingly better than expected. It has multiple tones/colors of grass blades and looks very good as a turf, even when compared to a premium turf we bought last year for a pet area and the patio areas. The drainage has been very good while sitting out on our deck during lots of rain storms (some pretty strong down pours too) and about 4 snow storms. I wish my back door mat was as good. When this rug arrives it is folded up. At first I was wondering if it would be flat enough with all the creases in it. But after a few days it was just fine and I forgot about it until writing this review. The turf holds up to a lot of traffic so far, even pets. Though one of the dogs liked to carry it off until I anchored it under some furniture. When the rug gets folded over, it retains its shape and lays flat with no problems after being kicked up or blown over. The only real cons we found are: - when one of the dogs jumps off a bench onto it but only when racing at a high speed off the deck, it slides a bit and folds over onto itself if he long jumps onto it more than once. - the price per square foot seems high compared to some premium turfs, but that could be due to the fact of comparing a lot more square footage bought vs this smaller 3x5 size. So wondering if it was larger how it would equate price wise. - I wish it was at least 8 x 10 (9 x 12 preferred) or had that option. The bigger con is only due to the fact we'd love it do cover more of the deck ... show more

Keep your expectations in line with what you will receive and you get a good product. It should really be rated at 5 stars rather than the good, but not perfect, 4.3. Why? Well, I hate to mention price because then I’m no longer reviewing the product but its price. And price is very subjective. However, in this case price makes a startling comment on quality. This is about $2.53 per square foot. The price range for artificial turf is around $5.45 to $20. Ponder on that. This turf looks good and feels reasonably genuine, though one glance and it’s clearly recognized as artificial. My take is that this is an amazing product for the price. 12,362 stars. I got this to help minimize the mess a doggie can bring into the house. It's not perfect, but helps remove a bit of mud or grass. It's thin, lays flat and, except when windy, stays put. It's lightweight and easy to clean. A shake out over the railing has worked pretty good thus far. As weather gets warmer, a quick spray with a hose will work even better. Drains/dries quick. My husband and I just adopted our first puppy, and she’s less than five months old. She isn’t at all potty trained. We’ve started her on crate training, but my husband really prefers to sleep with her overnight. I decided to order this as a backup plan, as we also have a chihuahua that can’t go outside during harsh midwestern winters. They haven’t used it yet, but I have to say while it’s thin, it has a very soft feel to it underfoot. A realistic feel, and not like plastic. The goal will be to just hose down any messes to keep it clean, but the fact it says it’s machine washable is very intriguing! I’m using this on carpet right now, and find that it doesn’t slide around much, but if you use it outside I think you’d need some heavy furniture on it – it’s very lightweight, and I could see heavy winds blowing this around a bit. For my purposes this will work great, and is a very affordable solution for the 2’x6’ size I got. ... show more
