Eventually, I discovered that the chef in my kitchen had mistakenly been using my these knives. As I mentioned earlier, this particular knife boasts exceptional durability, and its handle's ergonomic design offers great flexibility, enabling effortless cutting of a variety of foods. Therefore, my advice to anyone in need is to exercise caution when using their knives. Regardless of a knife's quality or its impressive toughness, it should never be treated as an axe. That's definitely not its intended purpose, after all! Lol. ------------------------------------------------------------ Since I own my own restaurant, we have our own standards and requirements for knives. When I saw this knife and its reviews, I eagerly purchased it with high expectations. They claimed that this knife is made of high-quality 73-layer Damascus steel, with excellent toughness and even after frequent daily use, it maintains a sharp edge like a razor for a long time. Undeniably, everything was great when we first started using it, but unfortunately, my chef found that the knife became dull after a while, even shortly after sharpening. I really don't think a $139 knife should perform so poorly. Overall, it's definitely not worth recommending as the price and quality of the product are not proportional. The handle hardware is seamless and transitions smoothly to the handle. Construction is tight and the blade is quality. My only complaint is that the pocket for the shears in the knife block feels amd looks like a clumsy afterthought when compared to the rest of the set.

The replacement was delivered and the seller still had not acknowledged my return or refund. The knives look beautiful, cut cleanly and the Damascus patterned blades come with a nice edge. That said, I have only hand washed them, yet some of the handles have become rough and have begun to “shrink” from the butt.

Love the look and cuts very well and very sharp. I bought this to replace the old knife I had that was cheap and did not last long after sharping it. The Xinzuo has a much nicer grip and sharper than the old one when it was new. Looking forward to see how long this one stays sharp being made of 73 layers of Damascus Steel and a lot more expensive. The olive wood handle is soft and very nice. It does need to be maintained with mineral oil and bees wax. You also have to use Japanese whet stones for best results. Overall these are great knives if you take care of them. They are very sharp that I didn’t notice the cut until I got lime juice on my hand. Very good knives! ... show more
