I was looking for a 5-step light ladder to use in my kitchen, which has 10-foot ceilings, making top shelves inaccessibile for my 5'4" stature. This arrived a few days ago, and I couldn't be more pleased with its construction. It is easily folded back for storage, has wide stairs and is very stable, despite its light weight. It requires no assembly other than locking in the retractable hand grip. I am 78 years old and felt very comfortable climbing to the top step while decorating our Christmas tree. When folded up, it is narrow enough to fit between my garage refrigerator and freezer. Really enjoy the negineering behind this handy step ladder.

Light weight, but very sturdy. At 70. Plus years old, I needed a ladder that I felt comfortable on. Extra wide steps and sturdy rails. The top bar extends when you use the top step. Excellent workmanship. Highly recommended.

great choice for my rv trailer. 5 steps is better than the 3 step i was using. very sturdy, and folds up to a thin footprint. lightweight and easy to stow away. the first one to arrive was damaged, so amazon replaced it with another. the new one still had a very minor dent in the tubing, but would not affect the integrity, unlike the damaged original. so, maybe they all have a small dent, i don't know. just a heads up.

Great Sturdy ladder, I had to return and reorder because the Handgrip was not pulling out only on one side. Obviously a defect, but I like it so much I reordered. A must have for anyone, worth the money. Lightweight, to carry, but sturdy and strong to hold your weight the steps and sturdiness make you feel secure.

I already have a 3-step aluminum ladder that's great for use in the house. But often it's too short for things like changing bulbs in overhead lights, or hanging a flagpole off the house. I liked the description of this 5-step one, and the reviews were mostly favorable. The beta review checker gave the reviews an "A" for reliability. It is everything it's supposed to be, and more. I did not find any of the shortcomings some of the reviewers described--flimsy, wobbly, not fit for a senior. I am a senior, and I feel quite safe on it. The ladder is well constructed of mainly aluminum; it seems to have some other metal joints and plastic parts. The four feet on the ladder are shown as "rubber" in one of the photos in the listing, but are described as "PVC" in the description. They are plastic. The steps are wide and grooved, so they are quite safe. On a level surface (the cement landing at my front door) it is solid as a rock--not a millimeter of wobble with this 140 lb person on it. It does wobble on my brick walk, but that's because the bricks aren't level--no fault of the ladder. I love the retractable handle. It gives me something to hold an lean against when I am on one of the higher rungs. The handle locks into place. To slide it back down, you press two locking buttons, one on each side. Another nice feature is a strap with Velcro closure that goes around the handle and holds is in place, so it doesn't slide out during transport. There were less weighty ladders available (this one is 15 lbs), but I'm glad I opted for this one, because I really feel safe on it. There was just one small issue. When I unpacked it, I noticed a dent in the front of the lower step. It's not serious enough to warrant returning or exchanging the ladder. I phoned Amazon about it, and they gave me a generous partial refund. I am very happy, and look forward to many years of use. As soon as I finish this, I'm will use it to replace the batteries in one of my security cameras!

This ladder is a little workhorse! It doesn’t take up a lot of space so I keep it handy right behind the door in my laundry room. It is lightweight, very sturdy and easy unfold and fold back up! I love the little tray that fits on it! Makes it easy to keep nails and hammers or screws and screwdrivers close by and accessible during your project. At 61 years old, I feel very comfortable and secure going up and down this ladder.
