I really love this light in my dining room. I did a lot of shopping before ordering this one. I wanted a chandelier that would put out a lot of light and this one definitely does. It can be put on a dimmer switch. Assemble instructions weren’t great, but it really isn’t that difficult to look at their pictures and assemble it correctly. The light can be hung at different heights, depending on how many poles you add and it does swivel at the base if you needed to hang it on an angled ceiling. Looks lovely in our MCM dining room - a great alternative to a sputnik light, which my husband hates. 4 stars because the instructions leave A LOT to be desired. We were left with a random part that we had no clue what to do with or where to put.

This is not a difficult light fixture to put together. I have worked in the lighting industry for 10+ years. Here's what your going to do for anyone who doesn't know or can't follow the instructions. 1. Remove the round disc attached to the bottom half of the arms. Not the one with the stick attached. The one with the small decorative bolt. I suggest getting some of the Styrofoam wrapping under your tool so you don't scratch the finish. 2. Use a wrench or plyers to tighten the bolts inside the round disk. This will tighten the arms. Tighten each arm. 3. This next step depends on how long you want it to hang. The long rods it comes with connect together via all threads and then to the base and ceiling plate. Attach them together depending on your desired height. 4. Put the bottom plate back on. This part can be tricky you have to go around the wires inside the bottom plate but I used one hand to hold the top wire in place and the other to push on the bottom plate. Keep wiggling the top wire until the all thread aligns with the bottom hole. Reattach the bottom decorative cap. 5. Attach your desired length of rods feeding the wire through the middle as you go. 6. Attach the hang straight (all thread) or the swirl piece if you have a sloped ceiling. 7) now wire it properly which I won't say because if you don't know how to wire it to the ceiling you shouldn't be installing it. Call an electrician. :) 8) attach the canopy using the decorative bolts and attach the either hang straight or siwel to the canopy you will use one or the other bot both. See photos for reference I did not use the swivel since my ceiling is not Angled. 9. Put in your appropriate bulbs and your done. ... show more

This product was simply horribly made! We received a returned item that was broken, but sadly we didn’t open the box within the return time frame to know it was a broken return. So my husband had to fix it before even attempting to install. The instructions were no help (especially due to the writing from the previous purchaser). My husband had to screw it into the ceiling in a completely different way because it was physically impossible to do so the way they “tried” instructing. If I could’ve returned I would have without a doubt! Don’t waste your money on this. ... show more

I Would think the average person would be challenged with assembly that is required. There is no mention of this added step in description. It comes in a small 12"x4" box and you have to attach the arms while maneuvering the wire pack. I am pretty good with being handy but this did take some patience and extended time ... show more
