I’ve been using this desk for a bit and it’s a solid option if you’re working with limited space. The size is definitely compact, but it works well for a laptop or a simple setup. The height adjustment is smooth, and the memory buttons make it easy to switch between sitting and standing without messing with settings every time. The drawers are actually more useful than I expected. They help keep the surface from getting cluttered, which matters since there isn’t a ton of room to begin with. It feels sturdy enough for everyday use, but I wouldn’t load it up with a lot of heavy gear. The main downside is the size. If you’re using multiple monitors or want a lot of desk space, this will feel cramped pretty quickly. Also, smaller desks like this can have a bit of wobble depending on how you set them up. As this desk is for my daughter, I let her take the lead on assembly… with lots of grumbles along the way. Halfway in, I lent a hand: physically, not just advisedly. Having never had to assemble such as a desk (previously, Legos: she was good at those, but that was years ago), the instructions-format was unfamiliar. Took some coaching: making sure to point out which direction each piece was facing in the pictures… And yes, I did let her assemble the desktop halves upside down: mistakes are how we learn. Less advisory, more hands-on followed afterwards. Never use a power drill for assembling these things: unless you want to break the ‘wood’… that was the first advice; then it was suggestions about making sure the screws-into-wood are straight up/down before the first turn, not tightening all the screws on one piece until all the screws have been set (lightly-tight): making sure everything is aligned square/proper before tightening: angular-ends first; can tighten the metal-on-metal tighter than metal-on-wood; noting which bolts can be removed to separate the top from the legs to fit in a car… you know, those sorts of ‘dadsplaining’ things (you hope they're hearing, but probably aren't): from decades of the only furniture I could afford came with Full Assembly Required (or were roadside freebies). Took an hour to finish assembling. The pace quickened with another set of hands, after I could no longer just sit back and watch. As I had hoped, the desk fit perfectly in the corner: pictured. Sadly, there's no power feeding the outlet in that corner (yet), had to run an extension cord. This smaller desk, being lighter (to start) without a monitor and speakers, keyboard, mouse and such on it adjusts its height faster than my office standing-desk. Four heights can be programmed: one will suffice, being she's the only one who'll be using it (as opposed to the office desk downstairs). There is room to clamp a keyboard tray beneath: 24-inches max (off-center, because of the height-control panel: which I suppose could be relocated to the leg, stuck-taped/zip-tied in place?). Desk-space– Desk is 31.5 inches wide, sticks about 20 inches off the wall, there is 11.5 inches of depth to the desktop: not great, will fit a textbook, notebook. Should fit a laptop, but perhaps not comfortably for your wrists, hanging off the front-edge. The metal pieces are all solid, should last forever. The ‘wood’ is good enough for composite material: I've certainly seen worse. The veneer is a nice color: smooth, not textured, no visible damage upon arrival. The desktop front-corners are pointy, not rounded: unlike the back of the top-shelf, careful not to bang yourself into them. I usually recommend a desktop mat to better protect the surface from scratches: will look into that, later. Note– There is no porthole for feeding your cables down through the desktop (to a hub, power strip): they have to come over the top or around the sides. Overall– Four.Five Stars (rounded-up): would prefer a little more depth to the main-desktop: but that's why you should read the product-page before buying the size you need. ... show more

Despite this being a small desk, I'm surprised at just how much it could perform. The desk shape is very setup friendly, enough room for mouse, keyboard, and a couple items like headphones and a drink. The shape also makes it very moddable for things like side attachments. The curve of the top shelf makes it possible to put a monitor arm on it without blocking the drawers, and honestly, I appreciate a specific lip for a monitor mount. While I am disappointed that the drawers are canvas ones, they are still handy for small but commonly used its. Controllers, chargers, etc. The default height is perfect enough for a chair to slide under, and at the max height. I'm comfortably resting my arms on the desk while standing as someone who's six foot. The instructions are very clear, the parts are individually wrapped via part letter which makes it easier to find what you need, and the actually assembly was very much a breeze. No trouble at all. The motor is steady, strong, and works without trouble, and the plug has a nice amount of cable to plug it in without having to be right at an outlet. The overall quality is solid, a mix of metal, wood and a bit of canvas. Keeping it both reasonably light enough to move, but keep solidly in place with enough heft. No worry of tipping. The price is fair for a stand up desk. Cheaper than a wider one, but makes up for length with the drawers and mounting space. ... show more
