My old rollers were all metal and about 13 years old. These are certainly quieter, though did not fix my "popping" noise. Seem to be quality built and I expect to get as many years out of them as the original. I would recommend these if you need new rollers. Installation is easy peasy if you know what you're doing. A 1/4" cordless impact makes it that much faster / easier. Beware of the bottom roller brackets as they have full tension on the cable when the door is closed. You need to open the door and lift slightly to fully release the cable tension before removing the bracket.

My 50 year old wood door needed 12, not 10 rollers. Also, these are much longer than the originals. Both of those issues are more or less on me, and of little consequence. These rollers also have a sizable shoulder on the shaft close to the wheel. Again it appears to not be of consequence in my case, but it could cause binding depending on your setup. Installation took about 30 minutes after watching a short youtube video. The rollers are well constructed and very quiet.

The new rollers arrived as promised and were a perfect replacement for the 40 year old originals. They are much smoother and quieter. Installation was very straightforward according to my wife. She began her installation at the beginning of the NASCAR race I was watching. I was surprised when she came back in the house at about the middle of Stage Two of the race, indicating that she had completed the installation as she handed me another beer. She said she was actually able to work in a load of laundry as the washer and dryer are right there in the garage. We both went out at the end of the race to check them out. It didn't look like it was that difficult of a job.

Garage door noise is significantly reduced. I had a heck of a time getting the old wheels off, but that was my problem. Once I got the hinge off the wheels were installed in a snap. Not only do they work very well, but they look great.
