There are two sizes of center holes for Kubota 48 mower blade sets. I have two of them. The older (2016) mower needs blades with about a 7/8 diameter center hole. The new one (2023) needs blades with about a 5/8 diameter center hole. I ordered my set with the older mower in mind so they really did not fit as expected. These blades have the smaller hole. I kept them because they will fit my new mower but I ended up going back to the dealer for a set of blades to fit the older mower. ... show more

    • Hole is too small
These are nice blades. The length is correct, but the hole size is way too small. Trying to drill these blades to enlarge the hole is nearly impossible due to the hardness of the steel. Hard steel is great for a mower blade, but not great if you have to enlarge the hole. I broke 2 Step Bits, and a 7/8 bit trying to enlarge the hole to fit the application it is SUPPOSED to fit. I will be bringing them to a machine shop to see if they can do it, because my drill press and bits don't seem up to the task. I can't return them so I guess if the Machine Shop can't do it, well, I have some paperweights. These blades had already been tried before, since there was a small amount of Anti-Seize around the hole on one of the blades. Kind of disappointed as the set of these I bought for my other mower fit perfectly, and work very well. ... show more
