I bought this product to hold some of my water plants in place and it works. I don’t know if this is what this product is for but this is what I am using it for. All my water plants now are standing straight in their glass jars because of this item.

The size is 1/4 inch smaller than a 3” basket so it fits inside nicely. I have no complaints. I’m on my second bag in 2 weeks. The center piece has a purpose which I don’t remember what it was. I just pull it out. I germinate the seeds on a wet paper towel in a baggie under light. When they get big enough to fit a 3” collar I stick it in the slit, the cup, then my unit. These cloning collars work great. Not much do complain about...they hold the plants upright and don't damage the stems. Better than the common plastic lids with a hole in it. This expands as the plant grows. Unfortunately, they can't stand up to curious raccoons who rip them apart. Bought extras as backup ... show more

Great product for 3” hydroponic net cups. Would have given 5 stars but there is a small strip of neoprene in the middle of each collar from the manufacturing process that will drop into your system if not removed.
