The straps are nice, but I especially love the strap winder!
I ordered this Strap & Winder Kit to use with my 18' flatbed car/utility trailer. As I opened the box, I was pleased to find that the four straps, which are included, and the strap winder, appear to be very well made and are heavy duty enough to meet my needs. The straps have a flat hook on one end and do NOT include a ratcheting end, but I already knew that from reading the description. I was most excited about the strap winder, as I always struggle with neatly winding straps after I use them and they end up in a jumbled mess on the floor of my truck. The strap winder was easily secured to the front rail of my trailer and helped me quickly wind up all of my existing straps to get them stored away (please note: the red strap in the video was one that I already owned - not included in this purchase). The straps and strap winder easily fit under the back seat of my truck and are ready to help me tie down the next project car or truck that comes home on my trailer.

Love the Winder
The worst part of hauling is rewinding the straps when you finish. This winder works great and clamps to my flat bed trailer. I'll leave this in the toolbox attached to the trailer and get it out and clamp it on when I'm ready to clean up my straps. The straps that come with it are good. Not much to say there. But I look forward to saving time using the winder. It will work with all sizes of straps, whether 2" or 4". It's very simple but also very effective. If I wanted to I could weld it or bolt it on the side rail, but I haven't decided if this is the best place for it yet.

Great set - strong and durable straps
These ratchet straps certainly live up to their name - they’re definitely heavy duty, as well as sturdy and easy to use, thanks to the included rollup winder. I can’t tell you how much time I’ve spent rolling up straps by hand while my boyfriend unloads bales of hay, and while it’s not hard work it is time consuming, and I’m grateful to have the winding tool that comes in this kit because I can work more efficiently. Instead of spending wasteful time rolling up straps I can wind them up quickly and move on to the next task. This set comes with four quality made durable straps so it’s a great value. Very happy with this set. Highly recommend.

Nice straps, cheap winder
In my product reviews I primarily focus on quality and functionality, and end with my recommendation. It should be noted that, while these items ship to me at no cost, there is a significant time investment and a 20% to 30% tax liability. What you are about to read is strictly my unbiased opinion. Quality: I like the quality of these straps. They claim to have a 5500# working load capacity and a 16,500# breaking strength - much more that I will ever need., The strap winder, on the other hand is just not that great. I have a different style winder that is much easier to operate and doesn’t need to be unscrewed to break it down. Functionality: The function of the straps is pretty straightforward - they work. The winder, on the other hand is fairly difficult to use. The threads have so much coating on them that they are hard to screw into the welded nuts. Since this isn’t something I would leave attached to my trailer, I have to break it down after each use - just not very user friendly. The speed handle also fits very loosely into the sleeve so there is no fluid motion when cranking the strap. Recommendation: Like I said, the straps are nice but the winder isn’t. If I needed another set of straps, I would look for the straps alone and forget the winder. Because this was bundled as a set, the added cost of the winder made the price fairly high. I wouldn’t purchase this as a bundle again, but I did give it four stars just because the straps are nice.

This set of 4 straps and matching winches is extremely heavy duty. I have 2 gooseneck 30' trailers I use for hot shot loads, and this set is fantastic for extra security for the larger loads. Really, they are a little overkill for 30' trailers, but peace of mind that nothing is going to shift or break is worth it!
