Once we had assembled the desk, we noticed that one of the wood support blocks was cracked/broke. The only option allowed by the seller, Ashley Signature Furniture, was to disassemble, put it back into the original packing, send it back, then reorder another one. My prior experience is that it’s not uncommon to have some type damage or missing parts. It’s much better to get a replacement prior to returning the original so if the replacement unit has an issue, likely a piece from the original can resolve it. I did call Ashley customer service. The representative bluntly restated the one and only option…ship it back, then reorder another. BTW, in the past have had less than ideal service from Ashley stores. ... show more
