  • Beast of a card, and great price if you can get it for MSRP
The media could not be loaded. Bought the 9070 OC Swft Edition. It is working great and I’m happy with the purchase so far. This marks my move to AMD gpus after using nvidia cards for years. Background: I have a 5600x on a matx B550 Tuf Wifi board. I am using an Nzxt 510 case. I am coming from a rtx 3070 and play on 1440p. I have been starting to notice games like Hogwarts legacy(which is terribly optimized where gpu might not be the exact issue), marvel rivals, and a couple others couldn’t push my 3070 to high settings/over 100 frames unless I lowered the resolution or quality settings to low. I wanted a card that would let me enjoy better quality and keep my frames past 100 and preferably close to my monitor’s ability of 144. Also, I wanted to future proof a bit more by finding a card that is 16gb or higher. I also wanted to make sure I got the msrp pricing. Then I scored with this card The 9070 OC Swift Physically: This thing looks epic. This card is huge. Definitely needs a gpu support thing. Although I don’t think the 3.5 slot size as the xfx website says is accurate. It is just a touch larger than 3 slots. I originally planned to get a new full atx am4 motherboard as I assumed it wouldn’t fit on my matx board (tuf b550m wifi) because I thought it would block the headers on bottom, but luckily it fits! It barely clears the usb header, front panel header, but it does graze the plugs, but not enough to be an issue. WIN! I just had to bend the wire part of the cable away a little. Functionally: The fans run well, no extra noises like vibrations or coil whine. It started right up. Kind of wish the white led “xfx” could be turned off or was rgb and could be set to a different color, but it is always on. It runs games like I hoped it would and easily blows my 3070 away. I can get to my monitors max of 144 with all the games I play at high or ultra settings. Honestly, glad I went for this instead of the XT version, because it saves me money and this already does exactly what I need and more. My cpu does bottleneck this gpu and lower settings, so will be needing to upgrade my cpu soon. Software: A lot of users have previously said the AMD software was finicky, but this one seems to work just fine along with its drivers. This was day 1. I’ll update and possibly add some numbers when I get some more usage time. I’m really happy with the purchase and getting this at MSRP is great. I don’t think I would have bought it for the inflated price by amazon, and definitely NOT WORTH the scalped price , but at 550, it’s a no brainer. The higher prices would sway me to get the 5070 as I’ve seen models go for 550. Hopefully you all get a graphics card at a solid price, too. Thanks XFX! ... show more

  • Fantastic raw gaming card
Coming from a nvidia 3080 this was a good upgrade. I can clearly see an upgrade in my quality of graphics output and fps. I do a lot of VR and for heavyweights like Half-life Alex I can now run the game a full ultra performance at 120 fps. Also I use the PSVR2 so it’s pushing 2k for each eye at 120 fps. Now don’t get me wrong there a few draw backs like ray full path tracing where AMD card lack but the 9000 series card like this one does do ray tracing miles better then their previous generation counterparts. For instance on Cyberpunk 2077 on my 3080 I was getting 75 fps with path tracing on and just ray tracing on about the same, where as this 9070 on full ray tracing 100 fps but on path tracing I only get around 50 fps. On another point this card also seems to run cool at about 65c on heavy loads and relatively quiet, distributing the fan noise across 3 fans rather then just 2. The 3080 ran much hotter at 85c and much louder on heavy loads. Now if you just want great performance and don’t care about the newest graphical enhancements then this is a fantastic card for under 600 but if that all hinges on if you can get it for that price. If this card is being resold on here for 800 or higher you are better off getting an NVIDIA 4080 or 4070 ti. ... show more

  • Great performance, very tunable, well sized, quiet and acceptable power draw.
**At MSRP Review** Fantastic performance, over-performing cooling solution, clear advantage over competing products. Played Helldivers II, DB Sparking Zero, Space Marine II, Robocop, Control and Mortal Kombat I on it and at 1440p 144Hz the card performs exactly how you would want it to, significantly higher than 60 fps with maxed out settings, RT (where available) and no upscaling (only FSR4 AA where available). My particular card had incredible headroom through power draw (with 10% boost draws 270W), Undervolting (upto -130 mV with clocks reaching close to 3.1 GHz), and memory overclocking (fast timings, 0 overclock). The cooling doesn't even break a sweat or become audible with hotspots hitting at most 74 degrees. This is probably a worse card than the 9070XT at its MSRP, but the performance uplift through tuning is incredible. I didn't do a stock performance test yet, but the amount of changes I was able to make with stability makes me think there is so much performance to be extracted from this card. Great job XFX. ... show more

  • Amazing GPU, Amazon is the champ for selling it at the ACTUAL MSRP price! Bravo!
If you know this card, then you know what it's capable of. 5 stars for being the only place where they were actually msrp. Paid $550 and so excited to get it. The XT is nice, but it's only 10% faster, usually more than 10% in price, and draws 50% more power! If you really need an XT, then get it. I think this card is a better bang for your buck if you compare power draw. ... show more

  • Great GPU
I liked my previous GPU but video game developers did bad work by not doing optimization for a game I wanted to play. So, had to upgrade the GPU. This was my first AMD GPU, and I really like it. It does exactly what I wanted and needed. (Very very happy to be able to support the GPU division at AMD instead of supporting a different company). Also I got it at MSRP, so that really helped. I am not willing to pay more than MSRP for products. ... show more

  • A massive card that keeps my PC running cool
I picked this up for myself last March because I wanted to refresh my build. I’ve been using it since spring and it has been a total workhorse. The design is sleek and black, which looks nice in the case, but the main thing is the cooling. With those three fans, it never seems to get hot, even when I’m pushing it with newer games. It is a very long card, so just be prepared for that, but it feels really well-made. I’m really happy I grabbed this for myself; it made a huge difference in how my games play compared to my old setup. Fortnite runs smooth on higher graphics and bunch of other games. ... show more

  • Pricey but it's great!
I don't really have many complaints. Graphics look great and it fits inside my PC case. Yes it does heat up and it is expensive, but the difference is noticeable.
