Great GPU but one minor thing

The GPU is AWESOME. I use this to run Halo Infinite and the game has never been smoother. It’s so powerful and quiet, like I’m telling you performance is astounding. It can run frames as high as 200FPS and up to 4K (provided you have the monitor & game that supports it). Just be aware that some updates from AMD can be bad for a particular game, so don’t always update your GPU without doing research. ... show more

I got the XFX Swift AMD Radeon RX 9070 OC and it's exceeded expectations. It doesn't have any LEDs, which is fine since I got complete blackout on my systems anyway. With a 1440 widescreen this runs Destiny 2 and Warframe at 140FPS easily, and in busy areas like nightmare hunts on the Moon in D2 it can dip to 115FPS. I paired it with a AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-core and it's just such a great combination and value. The fans never need to go over 50% so it's quiet and doesn't go over 60c while gaming flat out. Power maxes at 300W in benchmarks like Performance Test. Included is the setting I use which are on the safe side, and should work on anything, and could be tweaked from there. I use a Corsair 4000D case, so photos of how it fits included, it doesn't even reach the holding bar, so it should fit in many cases lengthwise. I have an Nvidia 5070 and also AMD 6800XT and this beats them both in every category (noise, speed, and efficiency when undervolted). I managed two PC repair shops, and this will be my personal system for at least seven years. No coil whine even before undervolting, and Ancient Gameplays on Youtube made a good video about how to set it up. The XT is 10 percent more, but not a great value if you need to upgrade your power supply compared to this one. I have a regular Dell 1440 monitor and going to try it on that too, but if you have an ultrawide 2k monitor, this has all the extra speed to handle it. So much information to sift through when shopping for a video card, just go for the Swift 9070. I've had other Swift cards before, just not one that runs this quiet (included is a screenshot of my fan curve). So happy on all fronts with it. ... show more

So after upgrading my sons desktop to a 9060xt earlier this year, I thought well let's step my new build up to an AMD Radeon as well. So you know, my other build has a 4060ti. Yeah, I know it's nothing to brag about but, the price to deliverance of FPS, quality, handling the graphics. This 9070 does the job, well! Equipped with 3 fans to minimize temps as much as possible. This GPU gives a heck of a value for the price point! AMD isn't really far behind Nvidia at all. I'm no video editor, graphical designer, or anything like that. However, I am a gamer. This equipped with the 7800x3D delivers 1440p visuals on my Dell 32inch well. AC Shadows average FPS on very high settings avg is 130. Forza 5 on extreme settings around 75-90fps. XFX RMA service isn't the greatest.

I have had this card for 8 months, from day 1 it gave me problems where the card would cause the drivers to crash. Forcing me to Enable-Disable-Enable the card is device manager to fix it. I tried various "fixes" from repeatedly using DDU to reinstall AMD's drivers, to other small tweaks in Power Settings and BIOS, and Tuning the card in AMD's Adrenaline sweet. I also got constant issues with grey screening when playing some games forcing me to hard restart my computer. Also to state: I used PCPart picker when I built my computer, so I know this card was compatible with everything. I finally decided to RMA it, still in warranty. XFX support is UTTERLY awful, absolutely terrible. Made me pay for shipping on the RMA, wouldn't send me a new unit in the interm or to just replace it, I had to plug in my old Nivida 3060. Which, by the way, in the week I had to go back to using my 3060, I have had ZERO graphical issues outside of the card being a weaker card. Now, XFX labeled my card as NFF, since the issues I have happen under actual under usage randomly. UPDATE They told me they were sending me a new card as a peace of mind, so I bumped the star review up to 3. It was just to many hoops to jump through and their RMA process could be better. Im hoping to help someone avoid the headache I had. After restarting unplugging restarting several times, I came across a youtube video saying that you might have to loosen the mounting screws and adjust the card a little to make sure your cord isn't being blocked a little bit by the case, mine was, couldn't believe it was the problem, just had to drop my card by a very small amount and then retighten the screws. I just got it, barely used, I just wanted to say I received it and it works. Honest out of the box, I would give it 4.5 stars, it could use some directions, I have no idea what the tiny little switch is for on side yet, I got a paper card with the gpu with a few codes to scan, I did scan one code.. I would rather just have plain instructions on the piece of cardboard, rather then something to scan. A sticker would of been nice... too. If I have any abnormal issues I will likely update. ... show more
