I have a desktop CNC machine that uses a trim router as a spindle. So far I am really pleased with this bit. I appreciate that they included a speed and feed guide to get started. I tend to run my feed a little slower since I only use it for fun and the machine is not the strongest. I don't have any complaints here. It is working as I expected it to. It seems well made for anything I am going to use it for. Most of the material I am cutting is box store hardwood so keeping that in mind I would say the bit does a fantastic job as the quality of box store wood is usually pretty sketchy. This bit is really useful for finishing passes on 3D carves. You could also use it for pocket clean up, but I'd be careful with lateral loading on such a thin tool. Overall the cutting performance is good. I tend to run my bits on the lower end of feeds and speeds as I value long life or fast times since I am not running a production shop. I'm doing mostly projects for myself or friends so I don't push the bits very hard, but this one is performing nicely for me so far. ... show more

Got this bit really fast and haven't had a chance to put it to work yet. Planning on using it for cleaning the edges of my projects and routing thin grooves. The up/down cut bits are supposed to make an exceptionally clean cut without much need for sanding afterwards. I'm hoping this is the case as it will make projects go a lot faster, Really nice construction and I really like the blue coating on the bit and I'm hoping that it helps reduce the heat on the bit like it's supposed to. The bit has nice clean construction and what feel like nice sharp edges. I'm really looking forward to trying this out in my palm router. If I need to after using the bit I'll update the review, but I'm pretty happy with it at this point. ... show more

I have used this for PCB routing/separations. It has a small diameter, so for home use you really need to be using a router table or something similarly stable. The cut is quite clean on PCBs. I also played a little with 1/4" plywood cutting. This bit worked ok with just a little splintering on the outer plys. I only did some small test pieces, but would be careful with larger wood cuts to go slowly and not let the bit heat up too much - again it is only 1/8". ... show more
