  • High-Strength Polyester Construction: Crafted with premium polyester fibers, this outdoor rope offers 10% extra length (up to 220 ft) and comes in three diameters (3/8", 1/2", 3/4") for versatile use. Its bright orange color ensures high visibility, while maximum tension ratings of 3,430-8,626 lbs guarantee durability for demanding tasks.

  • Looks like nice, strong rope
Color: Orange Size: 3/8 inch X 120ft
Although I leave the huge trees to experts, I often will tackle smaller trees. A few years ago I had a tall but skinny pine tree to remove. I used a rope with an old heavy padlock tied to the end, had a friend hold the lower end while I threw the padlock just above an upper limb at an angle. It took a few tries, but eventually I got the padlock to wrap around the tree above the limb. It was secure. I had my friend pull in the direction I wanted the tree to fall, which was to go between a nice dogwood and a kid's tree house / slide structure. I wanted to make sure it didn't hit the slide. Just as the cut to drop the tree was beginning to crack, a very slight breeze came on suddenly and started pushing the tree the wrong way. The rope I was using was not strong enough to control the fall but I didn't want it to pop and lose all control. We got the tree down but couldn't exert enough control to prevent it from swiping the side of the slide enough to push it slightly off its base. It could have been much worse - it could have wiped out the structure. From that moment I realized I needed to have some suitably strong rope to guide trees down. Also, I learned the power of a sudden and unexpected breeze. This rope is rated at 3430 lbs so it should definitely be strong enough for purposes such as this. It measures exactly 3/8 inch, although it looks a little bigger. The inner braid (at the end I photographed) is fully heat fused, but the outer braid is not completely fused. That's not terribly difficult to fix manually using a charcoal lighter. I'm leaving the rope wrapped up until I need it for the next project. 4.5/5.0 ... show more

  • Well made 3/8 inch rope true size
Color: Orange Size: 3/8 inch X 120ft
This rope looks and feels to be high quality , the braiding is very tight and has no loose areas on the outside sheath. The ends are heat sealed properly to prevent unraveling. From the feel of the bend in the rope and suppleness in my hand it feels to be a dynamic rope and not a static line. I would trust this for wear gear, rigging to raise or lower objects that aren't living. Though it feels high quality and I'm sure would be safe for climbing , I'm not sure I would trust it for such if it doesn't have safety testing done on it. This is plenty strong for job sites and at a great price . It feeds easily through caribiners and functions in auto locking devices for 3/8 inch rope. It's stiff when loaded and has very minimal stretch under load. This would also make a great rope swing, just don't leave it up in the sunlight , like any material it will degrade and weaken in UV light so store your ropes in a bag if you want them to last ... show more

  • Excellent rope.
Color: Orange Size: 3/8 inch X 120ft
I am not a professional user of ropes like this , but I did sell quality rope for marine use in my last job. This seems to be in line with those ropes. "Stiff" , little to no stretch (by hand) , tough exterior, durable inner cords. I would have no issues trusting this rope with my 200# plus weight and then some, a lot more some. Looks to be excellent quality rope. ... show more

  • Brightly colored.
Color: Orange Size: 3/8 inch X 120ft
3/8" tightly woven poly rope is very brightly colored and very stiff. I was not expecting the firmness of this rope as it is the 3/8" and not the 1/2 or 3/4", which I expected that kind of stiffness from. I am not disappointed. With the rope not flopping, it makes some jobs much easier. The proper tooling is needed for using this rope, however. It will burn your hands if you are not wearing gloves. It bends enough to fit into the harnesses and rigging I have and I'm sure it will loosen up when worked in. I liked the patterning on the rope as it gave a visual distinction when working from a distance through a pulley system. Haven't tested even close to the weight rating. Nor do I plan to. That's what my wench is for. ... show more

  • Great strong rope
Color: Orange Size: 3/8 inch X 120ft
I'm not an arborist but I do need a very strong rope that is also long and bonus it's a bright orange color. My property includes a very steep hill covered in trees and rocks that is also very slippery. It's difficult to climb in the best conditions. When the weather clears I plan to use this rope to string up among the trees to aid in climbing the slope. The property goes back quite a ways but once you lose sight of my house you can become disoriented in the woods so the bright orange color will stand out as a guide to get back off the slope. The length of this should get me up to the plateau above the slope and offers me the ability to inspect the property and the trees. Good rope, good price. ... show more

  • High Specs at a Low Price
Color: Orange Size: 3/8 inch X 120ft
The rope is attractive and the color is good for easy recognition to avoid the trip (or other) hazard. Sold as an "arborist" rope at 3430 lbs static breaking strength, I am using it as a dedicated log skidding rope. The pictures in the description imply that it could be used as a climbing rope. Other dedicated arborist climbing ropes can cost 6 or more times per foot and have considerably higher breaking strength ratings. I have no way of verifying the strength, but I'll be abusing it. For me, how long this rope lasts is dependent on how long the woven cover withstands the abrasion of rough tree bark, rocks, and dirt. The rope has great flexibility. ... show more

  • Heavy-duty rope
Color: Orange Size: 3/8 inch X 120ft
I got this for Scout activities, like camping, boating, climbing, etc. and it's definitely a heavy-duty rope. The page description says it can support a 1.5 ton load and I don't think I'll ever be anywhere near that. Maybe if I have to use it to tow a vehicle, but even then it's not going to have to hold over 3000lbs. The rope is fairly stiff, so not as flexible as climbing rope or paracord, so tight knots aren't going to be easy to tie, but knots like a two-half hitch, bowline, or clove hitch will be fine. ... show more
