Nice bedframe! Not complicated to put together following the directions, but it does take some time to put it together! It's very sturdy and fits a twin mattress! It is pretty tall my 12 year old has to watch out not to hit his head on the ceiling getting in and out of bed but other than that it's awesome! The shelving is strong and a nice addition! A little more expensive than other bunk beds but I think it's worth the price! Also came fast so overall I am very happy with my purchase and so is my 12 year old!

After researching multiple loft bed/desk options, I finally decided on this one and am very happy I did. Fair warning, the 2 boxes this arrives in are HEAVY - be prepared to have at least 2 people in order to move them. The good news is that the parts are well-packaged and sturdy. I also love that this company has the instruction manual online. I printed my own copy of the instructions prior to assembly and read through before opening the boxes. I found it helpful to know what I was getting into prior to setting out the parts and hardware. Overall, the instructions were very good and easy to follow. The diagrams are thorough and extra hardware comes with in the event a washer rolls away or a screw gets loose (ha!). I was able to assemble this in about 3-4 hours with breaks. Most of it I was able to do by myself, but I did need help from one other person from time to time to hold a piece in place while I secured the screws for it. There are no tools needed for this aside from the allen wrench that is provided. This works pretty well, but there are definitely a couple places where I may have said mean things to the allen wrench as I tried to maneuver a tight spot to get into - particularly the mesh at the end and the corners of the shelf where you have to line them up with the sides of the loft. Patience is key here as is being willing to breathe and loosen a screw here or there to fit pieces snugly and then retighten. The bed feels VERY sturdy which makes me feel confident it's going to work well for my teen boy and likely be something he will just keep until college. I did choose not to put the lower shelf as he uses a laptop vs a PC and won't really need it for a tower. Doing this opened up a lot of space for storage, so if that is something you're looking for - consider doing the same. I can push his bean bag chair or a storage bin underneath now rather than wasted space.

Great quality bunk bed. Very difficult to put together by yourself, so make sure you have someone else to help, and it will take at least 2 hours of assembly time. It’s very stable and has minimal noises when on the top bunk. The only thing I can say negatively about it is that the ladder is a bit rough on the feet but that’s an easy fix :) I’d recommend this for anyone else trying to save space in a room!

I chose this bed when it was time for my son to move on from his Corvette Bed. It arrived as advertised in the pictures some minor dings but overall no issues. I used KontrolFreek Gaming Lights LED Strip Gaming Lights to achieve that glowing affect in the pictures and also got the matching X Rocker gaming chair. It really is an awesome looking bed/desk. The only thing I want to comment on aside from how happy we are with the bed, is whoever the lady was that reviewed this item who stated her husband put it together by himself in a little over an hour is completely full of bs. It takes an hour to unpack and organize the project before you even start it. The directions that came with are very good and there is a YouTube video that you can watch as you go as well. For one person this is going to take some time with two people it could be put up in a couple of hours. I’d recommend this bed to anyone who wants their child to be floored when they see it up and in their room. Would definitely order again!

The bed itself is really cool. Putting it together is a whole other issue. It took about 6 hours with two people. Putting the bottom parts on (cage parts) was one of the hardest parts. If you have large hands you might want to find someone else to help.

The media could not be loaded. Let me start out by saying my son loves his bed. I was skeptical because he’s 13 but I got it anyway. He was not disappointed. It does take 2 people to put together. A lot of pieces to assemble. None of the pieces were damaged. Thanks to my UPS guy and great packaging. You won’t be disappointed.

The media could not be loaded. The Fortess was the key component of the "big reveal" (surprise) that my husband and I planned for our tween son. Our intent was to morph his bedroom from, what our son previously described as an 'embarrassing and babyish' space into it's current form, which is now the 'ultimate cool-kid zone'. Beyond its obvious aesthetic appeal, the Fortress is quite study and completely noise-free. My husband was able to assemble the bed without issue, but then again, he does this type of task regularly in his profession, so his ease of assembly may not be the best gauge for everyone. He did say, however that the instructions were straight forward. Overall, this item exceeded our best expectations. Our son is very happy... His friends love his newly-updated (Gen-Alpha) bedroom/hangout spot. Mission accomplished!

My 8 year old wanted this so bad and it was on sale so we got it for him for his birthday. Two of the shelves came broken and you do need a rug if you have hardwood floors just to keep it more secure and sturdy. We had to reach out to the manufacturer for replacement shovels but we got them in less than a week. It was a bit of an inconvenience as we had to finish putting the bed together and to put the new shelves on you had to take that whole part of the bed apart. It is pretty tall so I wouldn’t get it if your ceilings are low. Overall my son loves it but I don’t see it lasting more than 3 years. It took about two hours to put together with two people.
