  • Tinker and play. Not unbox and scoot away.
Color: Green
Bought two so I could teach my wife to ride a manual bike. Easy to assemble for the mechanically inclined. Carburator worked on one of two out of box. They have idle adjustment only and are sealed units. I bought a nibbi pe22fl and it works great for someone proficient in tuning a real carb. Mounts right up to intake elbow (fl=flange). Welds are passable, but not pretty. Chains are sufficient, but I bought an rk 428 gold as a back up. Rear shock does have pre load and a Schrader for dampening. Front tubes only a bleeder. Suspension is very good. (200lbs, 5'7" rider). Rear brake takes a tweak to get it in toe range. Change shipping oil to 4t motorcycle oil before you start, and check the plug for how she burns. Ours came a bit rich off the start. Oh and the biggest thing to mention. They install a case breather oil catch that vents to air filter (rock gaurd). This WILL ruin your carb and engine. It's a California emissions requirement. Yeah, just delete it to air filter and route the new vent tube from case to the one hole clamp already provided on swing arm. A bit of a run around, but hey, they gotta play the game. All in all, I'd buy twenty more with the expectations of changing a few things and tinkering. This is not for the dad in the subdivision wanting to unbox and ride away with nothing but a brand new husky 102pc tool kit. Possible, but discouraging. Ask your neighbor Kyle with the SnapOn box to help you out bro! ;) Oh and, R+L shipped it from TX to Northern MI with constant tracking and communication. Met him on roadside with the pickup. No damage to either bike. I should mention bars will only take one drop before you need to buy a real set of thick ones. Controls are highly adjustable, but sloppy. Electrical is ok for dry and dusty, but should be replaced with lube and sealed connectors if you want any kind of life out of it. One way gas tank vent caused bike to stall after carb bowl was used up. Replaced it to fix. Great bike to start someone young or willing, to actually learn what it takes to own these types of machines for really cheap. 4/5 because improvement is always possible. **Final note** put it on a stand if you're doing this alone. Don't fight it on the ground. ... show more

  • Great dirt bikes for the money.
Color: Green
I purchased 3 x X-Pro Hawk 125s to enjoy time with my kids while riding. The Chinese bikes have come a long way and are a great value for the money. I have no doubts that these bikes will hold up well over time with lots of use. As with any brand of dirt bike, if you take care of the machine it will last and take care of you. The Zongshen motor that comes on these bikes is great and it has plenty of power to get my 6'0'' 200 lbs frame up and over any obstacle. My 5'2" daughter can reach the ground just fine and is also able to kick start the bike. My son who is 5'9" has plenty of room on the bike. The bike didn't show as coming with an adjustable rear shock, but it did. I pre-loaded the shock on my bike so it could better handle my weight. Pre-loading it made a huge difference. I'm planning to add about a 3/4" of washers to each of the front forks to pre-load those springs a little more. Some worthwhile and inexpensive upgrades I did right away to all three bikes was putting on Mikuni VM22 carburetors as the one that came on it didn't have any adjustability. It also pays to get an extended fuel screw so you can tune the fuel screw without constantly having to take off and on the carburetor to adjust it (I learned quickly how valuable this part was). I also added a 17 tooth front sprocket on each bike and that really gave 1st and 2nd gear much more usability. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! - I experienced great customer service with X-Pro as the bikes came in a decent about of time which was 7 business days from when I ordered them. That's pretty good considering these shipped from California to North Carolina. All the bikes came pretty well packaged and it was really the internal metal frame that they use to support the bike during shipping that allowed those items to be received in good condition. The only issue I encountered at all was that the green bike's front rim was bent some. It didn't make a big difference on the trails, but riding on the street it was very bouncy for my son. I emailed X-Pro to let them know and this weekend I received a new front rim! No questions asked!! I couldn't be happier with the transaction, the quality of the bikes and the fun I'm having with my kids. My kids love these bikes and I have no doubt yours will too! ... show more
