Purchased this in May, thought that I was going to return because APP really did not work but in the end; I was able to setup settings and then turn on - put in water it does very good job. The APP does not function so you can not do spot cleaning but our fiberglass pool does not get that dirty so really a 2 hours clean is all we need. Very easy to use; easy to turn on; put in water; remove and clean off - charge. Much simpler than the $1500 pool cleaner that was attached to a cable; this one is simple to use; the other is a pain to untangle the cable. ... show more

If you don't have an issue with fine dust ending up in your pool, this is probably an OK wireless pool vac. But I rated it from the perspective of someone who wanted a pool robot that would solve her dust issue. It navigated the entire pool floor pretty well (only missed a few sections), climbed the walls, and even managed to get up on the sun lounge deck for a bit (although it was confused and quickly headed back down without really cleaning that area and it never figured out the curved stairs at all). It did run for nearly two hours and picked up the leaves and other bigger debris and hair that was on the pool bottom. I never downloaded the app, based on other reviews, just put the thing in the pool, turned it on, and let it do its thing. Unfortunately, where we live fine, wind-blown dust is our biggest issue, and it is a really big issue. Sahara dust is real, its always super windy, and we have unpaved roads around us, too. Dust is everywhere, it accumulates quickly and is hard to manage. This robot was totally ineffective at capturing it, as you can see from the "after" pic of our stairs/sun lounge area. The bottom looked similar, although not quite that bad. The stairs actually looked worse after the robot did its thing. At first things looked promising, it went on its way leaving a clean trail behind it. But I quickly realized the robot was simply sucking up the dust and shooting it out again directly into the water where it clouded things up. The filter captured absolutely none of it, as evidenced when I pulled it out to clean it. There was evidence that dust had been inside and a bit of residue in the leftover water, but the filter itself was clean. No dust captured at all. I tried searching for an ultra fine filter replacement, but this brand doesn't seem to offer them. I will give it a few more tries to see if performance improves and perhaps try to add a homemade liner that is finer to the filter basket and see if that helps. But I think I will end up returning this item, and keep searching for an effective solution to our super dusty pool. This isn't it. ... show more

You can't beat this robot for the money! Pros: - Cleans walls up to water line and floors - Great suction and cleaning ability - Lightweight and easy to clean - Great battery life - Simply unbeatable for the performance and cost Cons: - The feedback on the app is accurate - the app experience is horrible. But you only use the app when you start it up and tell it what type of cleaning to do (floor, wall, etc.). Tip: Open the app BEFORE turning it on each time. - It doesn't seem to have a logical pattern to cleaning but that hasn't impacted my results with it - No fancy features in app such as pool floor mapping, or communication with it while its cleaning - Once it starts to clean you have to wait until it is done - you can't stop it mid-cycle ... show more

    • Cleaner ok, app bad.
Hit or miss. Cleans ok but random and high maintenance. The app does not do much and is a waste. The machine itself cleans OK although despite supposedly programming it it doesn’t follow any particular pattern it kind of careens around the pool randomly. It looks like its drunk. It does wheelies in the middle of the pool for no reason. Even when I tried to program it to do the floor only it wastes tons of energy trying to climb the walls which it does not do very effectively. Meanwhile it cleans for roughly an hour and 40 minutes maybe two hours and then you have to take it out of the pool charge it for three hours they say an hour and a half but that has not been my experience. Once you charge it you can put it back in the pool for another two hours at which time it cannot be left in the pool it Hass to be taken out hosed out dried off charged again until the next use which doesn’t sound that bad but it’s super annoying to take it out of the pool daily it’s heavy you have to catch it with a hook drag it out drain it in the filter opening where debris comes and sits flush against the back of the filter and traps a tremendous amount of hair and sand is that opening was forward half an inch you could just dump out the container instead of having to get out the hose and basically clean it deeply every time. So between the long charging time watching it Karine randomly around the pool dragging it out cleaning it drying it off gently placing it inside for charging taking it back outside and watching it drunkenly carrying around the pool despite the worthless app that does nothing I will be returning this item. I will save the cleaner itself has a nice little roller brush on it and does seem to do a decent but extremely random job of cleaning the pool. I feel like I would have to run it at least three times a day and every day in order to get effective cleaning and the point of a robot is to be easier or at least more effective not harder than a standard cleaner. ... show more
