I just got this for my husband as he just finished up 2k25 after getting him the new ps5 and he absolutely loved the 2k25 and had really high hopes for the 2k26 as did I... I read the reviews for this game through here and other platforms and was actually kind of nervous because there not great.. There are a lot of avid WWE 2k players out there and we can definitely see why there's a lot of frustration and trying to make more money off the game compared to the older generations... He is halfway through with The Rise part of it, which still dictates a lot of the older matches and storylines from this past year. I love that you can put your twist on it as you go as well... There is still The Island like on 2k25 which was one of his favorite parts, the only thing I didn't really understand is having to make 2 seperate characters for both? When you should just be able to use the same all the way through like the older ones.. As far as the graphics go, some of them are way better then 2k25, and other characters I'm wondering what in the world they were doing when they created a certain wrestling superstar. The movements and actions on this game are so clear and precise that I find myself just watching him play all day long as if I was actually watching WWE live, and am blown away at how real it does look... He does say the reversals kind of lag for some reason... I was on the fence whether to do a 5 or 4 star because there are some flaws vs the previous ones that i wished they'd left alone but all in all its a good game... I hope that when 2k27 comes out, they fix everything and listen to people's complaints, and hopefully it's one of the best games yet! Fingers crossed anyway!!

WWE 2K26 somehow manages to up the ante once again, from seemingly unfathomable bounds, as 2K25 was an all-round knockout. Not only does it surpass this extremely high bar 2K25 set, but it does so on day one, with a gigantic roster of superstars to choose from, new awesome match types, a brand new Showcase featuring everyone's favorite anarchist, cover star CM Punk, and to my huge surprise, a returning Island Mode!! Not to even mention a 2 brand new branching MyRise to play with; (Create a superstar story modes). The Island Mode was something I was not expecting to see return as last year's cover star Roman Reigns debuted the Island of Relevancy. And it is not the greatest mode on the game, but it still is worth playing to the end, if not for the branching story lines, then for the nice rewards such as new stars to add to your roster. MyFaction returns with an update, and it still pretty much functions mostly the same as before, there is Universe Mode and GM Mode, the latter even allowing players the luxury of being a part of their own WWE Draft. More belts, and more realistic updates to mechanics in the ring, such as being able to lay out thumbtacks Mick Foley-style, this wrestling game just keeps on giving. By the time you finish the barrage of different modes and seen everything there is to see and do, WWE2K27 will be rolling around! Well played 2K, well played!

The look is good but the controls don't work. There are a ton of moves but when you go to execute it doesn't and I have it on easy mode. I will demolish an opponent but they recover and suddenly whip me and its over. Wtf. Still can't figure out how to grab someone and throw them against the ropes or over the ropes in a rumble match. No suplex. The suplex should be a standard move. The moves need to execute when you press the button sequences. And wheres the recovery button. You press press and stamina doesn't go up. Counters you get a millisecond to press if you miss no way to counter. Moves are there but it doesn't execute and why are players locked i want all the characters available. And wheres Mic Foley Mankind Cactus Jack Dude Love. Wheres Kane Undertaker Hulk Hogan Ultimate Warrior Road Warriors Ric Flair Sting Diesel Razor Ramone etc half these people ive never heard of.

the ringside pass is kinda iffy but other than that it’s a nice upgrade from last years game. i’m a cm punk fan too, so i absolutely love the showcase.

All these games are a cash grab just like everything else in life. It’s seems they traded the win matches, earn money to unlock characters, belts and arenas for a tier in which you need to play to unlock the same. The tier system places the rewards in different tiers. The game play and graphics are great. What I don’t like are the DLCs. AAA is over represented. I’m looking forward to the Demolition DLC. However, Kelly Kelly could have been moved to another DLC package. They could have put in any other alter egos of Demolition like Repo Man, BlackTop Bully, Purple/Orange babyface Crush or Luscious Johnny V (Demolition’s first manager). Heck, they could have done the original Smash Moondog Rex. I feel the Attitude and Monday Night War packs were lacking. There could have been an Attitude DLC with Hardcore Holly, Droz, Midian, Viscera, etc…. There could have been a WCW DLC with Buff Bagwell, Raven, Kanyon, etc… or an extended nWo DLC with Brian Adams, Curt Hennig, Stevie Ray, etc…. Still playing WWE 2K26 is better than watching WWE. Now if only AEW can get its video game, game on.
