I bought these on sale and for the price I paid they’re awesome knives. Had I paid full price? I’m not sure they would be worth it but they’ve been a great upgrade to my very old JA Hinkle set. The block that comes with it is nicely made, and a nice color. The knives are very sharp, but the spreader isn’t unnecessary item. The knives are awesome. Super sharp, good balance and look nice. Agree with other reviews on the block. It's weird that the slots don't match the knives provided. I've only had these for a few months so I don't know how long they will last but so far I'm very happy with it.

These are awesomely sharpened knives, but they are also quite expensive. I consider them more of a luxury than a necessity. They are as sharp as a set of kitchen knives can be. Will the edge last? Hard to know this early. There is a honing tool with the set, and that should help keep them sharp. Of course, unless you know how to use it, the tool will likely be of little use. One dilemma: they should be hand- washed to protect the blade and the handles, but they are so sharp that you risk injury when washing them by hand. Nice to have. The set likely makes a great wedding gift. Time will tell if the knives can take ordinary regular use without blunting or damage. ... show more

My wife and I have been researching different knife brands and decided to give this one a chance. We never regret the decision. Love these knives. Pretty sharp, cut precisely, smoothly. Haven't had to sharp it since we purchased it exactly a year ago. I usually take time reviewing my purchases and I think it's a good timing for this review because we've used these knives quiet a lot over the year. I don't want to go into the details of each particular knife, but overall, they all are made sturdy, sharp, comfortable in hand. Fantastic starter knife set with every type of knife you could ever need. We’ve had them for about 6 months now and they’ve held up pretty well. A few of the knives we use more frequently got dull but it comes with a sharpener that works great to fix that! The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is that the block doesn’t actually have a slot for each of the knives. A few of the smaller knives are too small for the large slots that remain when all the knives are put in their slots. ... show more

Wow, the quality of these is so much better than I expected, especially as it was purchased “used” and these are brand new. Every knife had sleeve, the block even had the little plastic over the name plate. There is not a mark, scratch or deficit on any piece or the block. As far as cutting quality, these are the best knives I’ve ever purchased. I had a Cutco set prior and these are so much better. The cuts are clean and effortless, the handles comfortable… I can’t find anything negative to say about this set. Will update if anything changes ... show more

I don’t feel these live up to the WUSTHOF reputation for quality. The knives felt very light weight, except for the Chef’s knife. The order came very quickly personalized, that was nice. But for the money, I expected the quality for every knife. And bought this for a housewarming broker gift, for $650 I wouldn’t buy it again. Also, the knives don’t fit nicely in the block, too many small pairing knives. Another chefs knife would have made a difference. ... show more

My cousin got me hooked on these a couple years ago so when I bought my house I had to get these! They’re absolutely amazing and the sharpest knife set I’ve ever used. Be careful because they will cut you easily. Worth every penny and their warranty also makes it worth it!
