So, I currently own a fleece jacket that's lined with sherpa. I like that it has a chest pocket for my cigs because I can fit my hands in the pockets. It would be great if I couldn't feel the wind through the thin fleece. I bought this jacket because of the waterproofing, and chest pocket... No more wind! I'm very impressed with it. I don't ski or live where there's much snow, but the chill is much. When I tried this on I noticed the sleeves were long, and the jacket is thin for it being a winter coat imo... Which are perfect for me because I can tuck my hands in my sleeves without it tugging my shoulders like other coats. The thinness is perfect because it allows easy mobility, and I've never liked the bulky jackets (ie puffers). Plus, the sherpa lining is good quality (if my thin cheap jacket is capable of keeping me warm this one will definitely do it), and who needs it thick when it's waterproof so it blocks the wind... Granted, keep in mind I didn't buy it for skiing. A added bonus is the inside pocket where I can put my gloves (though I may use it for a beanie because the hood is rather large) Lastly, I bought a 3x which fits perfect. I usually buy 2x in shirts, if this helps. I don't wear sweaters, though so you may want to consider that, too.

Favorite color ( purple), affordable, on SALE, water proof, fleece lined , tons of zip up inner & outer pockets, cords yo make hood smaller for increased warmth in a blizzard/white out, both zipper & Velcro front closure AND best of all fitted wrists with Velcro to make even more fitted to blow -5 real temperature & -30 wind chill temps @ 0800 this AM. Warmer than my Lands End down fluffed full length (mid calf) winter coat & more comfortable as well as customized fleece/water proof coat in bright color (visible in blizzard/white outs) all too common in NE North Dakota winter. Oh & I am from the Southwest region from 7/1972 to fall 2021. So I am used to it snowing & melting mostly within a few days vs just piled up for 6+ months here. This purple fitted coat is FANTASTIC for ND weather & one if best purchases I have made been gifted in my life (okay since I was a single digit age). So warm & snuggly. Thrilled to wear this 2 days in a row, I look cute, am comfy, warm, & easy to wear versus my down coat (4x+ cost) & the full length zipper has been sent back & traded & replaced twice in 5-6 years… this one hits me below my hips but I do not trip on it & can use in more weather situations than charcoal down coat (no fleece & less customizable options). Got this coat for my daughter, and she's a plus-size young lady (bought a 3x). It's beyond difficult to find reasonable priced jackets for her. We live in a Midwest cold winter too, so jackets are a must. It's always taking a big chance to buy clothing items online, without being able to try it on. When it finally arrived, I gave it to her to try it on with my fingers crossed and my mind saying over & over. Please let it fit. Please let it fit...lol. To my surprise, my fingers crossed work!! (Joke: finger crossing isn't the reason why it fit) She tried it on, and it fit absolutely perfect. It's not too big. It's definitely not too small or tight. She was beyond excited and best of all - the inside is comfortable lining and keeps her warm. Simply the best buy I've purchased in a very long time. The only thing that was a slight disappointment (but not a deal breaker) is the hood. It's a tad big, and it's a little difficult to make it a snug fit. Of course, with hats on, there's just a little gap around the neck or on top (if it's windy and cold). It could possibly sneak in and make a little brisk. However, that's just on her. Maybe adding layers with a hat PLUS a scarf would make a difference, and that wouldn't be an issue on another person (she just doesn't like to wear scarves) Regardless, I have absolutely no regrets, I'm extremely satisfied with the purchase. So satisfied, I'm buying myself one with my next check. 💗 I tried on her jacket on me as well to see how it would fit on me, which fit me well. She's tall 5'9 and I'm short 5'3. We both have bigger busts & and to the many women who are nicely stacked, understand & relate that the struggle is real to find jackets to fit comfortably. I never give a review. Mostly because I forget or it's not a "wow" factor enough for me to take that extra step to let others know about an item. I could see how some people have concerns with the zipper but since this is relatively a new buy, I can't say anything negative about the zipper (if there are any issues with the zipper, I'll just come back to revise my comment) So, to sum it up: This jacket is both warm and fits great for a plus-size figure. I love the look of this jacket and it has so many nice features however the zipper seems defective. I had to get a replacement the first time because the jacket was cut (seemingly by a box cutter) and the zipper on that one came apart at the bottom while zipped and it also does on my replacement.

I purchased this coat just in time! The temperature dropped drastically but I was prepared! This coat feels heavy but wears light. It’s fleeced lined but not in the arms so easy to work in. Fits perfectly. I love the Velcro on the sleeves, keeps snow out. The snaps at waist along with string keeps the warmth in. The hood is perfect and without annoying fake fur trim. I would highly recommend. Looks great, keeps you warm in extreme cold and waterproof. Not just for sking!
