Size 38 fits as expected. I normally diet down to a 36 for Summer, and that didn't happen this year, so I needed some bigger shorts. These fit well. I love the Carpenter style, with the extra pockets for tinkering things. They feel like good quality I would expect from Wrangler. Happy customer.

They're good denim shorts. The fit size wise is as expected (not really "Loose fit" as advertised). But if Wrangler's aren't your norm I'd think twice. The seam in back between the belt line and pockets is a bit uncomfortable. Especially with IWB holster. I usually wear Levi's. Secondly, the crotch is tight and the zipper is too short.
