Decent. For the price, it certainly works. Unique part of this kit is that it comes with stencil gel, which too many kits neglect to include but is critical, even for practice. Also has green soap and a foaming soap bottle. Also, this is the first kit that I have seen that included a tattoo machine stand, which I am a big fan of. It saves on storage space while working or in between projects. The machine itself is ok. It has enough power to line and can shade, provided you are not using a massive needle group. For pretty much all palm sized tattoo, it is sufficient for both. Can also be used on real skin like most other practice machines. The machine is light and slightly narrow in diameter. For my hand, the small diameter makes gripping a little more difficult and my hand gets tired quickly. If you have smaller hands, this would be a fine size. Not very heavy, and that applies to both machine and batteries. The batteries are exceptionally light, which is good, because it keeps the weight of the machine centered. The skin included is 1 mm, which I find to be way too thin to work with. But it gives you something to play with while you wait for more skins to arrive. Needles are ok, not my favorite. About mediocre in picking up ink, but flow is smooth. For this price, this is a great set to start with and should last you a bit as you explore what you want in your next machine. In other words, I would call this a good starting kit.

Wormhole absolutely knocked it out of the park with this wireless tattoo pen kit! I started tattooing about a year ago as a self taught artist using a Wormhole pen and I still swear by them today. This kit truly comes with everything you need to get started, including black ink, ink cups, stencil paper, dental bibs, blue soap, a pen stand (which works when there is no cartridge loaded in the pen), 20 cartridge needles, two rechargeable batteries, the pen itself, and practice skins. The pen runs incredibly smooth on the skin with zero skipping, making lines clean and consistent. I completed a large outline on my husband’s back and still had over 70% battery life left, which is seriously impressive. The batteries also charge quickly, and the included ink is dark and works great. This pen is not bulky like most pens and fits really well in smaller hands such as mine as well. The only downside for me was the practice skins, they’re a bit thin and tend to have more bounce back than ideal but everything else in this kit is top notch. Overall, Wormhole remains my go to brand for tattoo pens because they’ve never let me down. I highly recommend this kit for beginners wanting to learn on a wireless pen or experienced artists looking for versatility and reliability. Honestly, it’s perfect for just about anyone!

I own a few other Wormhole machines (all of which are cheaper than this one), and I think the extra money is worth it for this particular machine. The machine itself feels well constructed and very balanced, especially with a battery pack on top. I do wish the stroke adjustment had a ratcheting system for incremental stroke lengths, but it is at least buttery smooth and you can really dial it in. As for the other implements included in the kit- I've only used the needle cartridges on fake skin and they seem to be fine. Haven't experienced any burrs or weird groupings. The ink is pretty good. It's got a good viscosity and packs well, and unlike other inks included with a lot of beginner/practice kits, this is actually 'pro' ink that is apparently safe for human skin. I'd still do a bit more research before I use it on real skin though as it's a company I've never heard of. You also get pretty much everything else you need: gloves, grip tape, stencil gel, blue soap, foaming pump bottle for soap, stencil paper, fake skin, and a nifty little stand for the machine. Definitely a good jumping off point for people looking to get into tattooing or for those who have one of the cheaper machines and want a slight upgrade.
