As many homebrewers might say, you can never have enough backup tubing clamps on brewing day. Inevitably, connections get loose or lines deteriorate with too much of my moving them around. I'll admit I have been unexpectedly sprayed with hot wort and have dashed around like crazy trying to find anything to secure the line. It's cheap insurance against even more mess to clean up after you've put your beer to bed. MRbrew accessories have been reliable since I started using them over the past few years. No rust on the steel clamps so far and no major metal deformation when I've lost track and tightened them too much. These are great for beer brewing. I use traditional hose clamps for my wort chiller hoses when I brew. That means I need to get out my screwdriver to tighten the clamps. I'm always worried I'm going to slip and drop the bit into my boiling wort. These are really convenient, just tighten with you hands, no tools required. These clamps worked okay for my 3/8" hoses on my wort chiller, but they're just slightly too large to close all the way. When you tighten them too much they tend to bend in an oval shape which can make it tough to get a tight seal. I was able to get it tight so it only dripped a little water on the intake side but it still leaked a little for a 3/8". They're much better off for handling larger hoses. I used them on my 1/2" connections on my kettle and they faired much better. So while they'll work for a 3/8" hose you might want a slightly smaller size. Overall I'm really happy with these. They're much more convenient than breaking out the screwdriver. Package comes with tons of extra clamps, pretty good value for the price. ... show more

If you are a home brewer, you will never have enough of these things and generally you don't have one right when you need one. These are perfect for fastening hoses or replacing old clamps on your wort chiller, cold beer lines, hot transfer lines, airlines, etc. This is a great pack and these all have the proper screw heads in them and are re-usable unlike the other ones with out the screws in them. I choose these over the thumb screw ones because they are less bulky, especially if you have a keezer with many taps in them, yu don't want anything protruding that gets caught on the other lines. ... show more

I'm re-running all of my kegerator lines and these clamps make that job a lot easier. Well made, not cheap feeling at all. There is a bit of resistance when tightening, but I don't mind it. Easier than a screw driver or socket. They look nice too. So happy to have these.
