Cute Brazilian colors and seems solidly constructed. The little electric motor is quiet in operation once the setup is figured out. It spins clockwise for a few minutes, pauses for a few minutes, then spins counterclockwise for a few minutes. It's a cool piece that is a nice way to show off my wedding present from my wife. The unit is missing instructions which made the initial setup confusing. Pinch the "arms" to release the clamp from the body, then a watch can be put around the little cushion, and the bracelet can be locked in place. The clamp fits back into place with no drama. It would be helpful to know how long it spins in each direction, how fast it is spinning, and how long it pauses. I'm sure watch aficionados would appreciate those sorts of details. ... show more

We got the USA themed option, and it looks really nice! Since this is the first watch winder we've ever used, it would have been nice to have some explanation included. For example, had no idea that it cycled off and on, and initially thought it was a defective unit. Also, the assembly that holds the watch didn't allow for enough tightness to secure the watch band. The watch was slipping as it rotated so had to add some material to make it more secure. Seems it should accommodate normal sized bands without this extra hassle. ... show more

If you are a football (soccer) fan then this might be perfect for you. It does keep a automatic watch charged but only has one module which runs counterclockwise and clockwise only which would work for your Swiss movements and Seiko movements that wind in both directions. If you have a miyota that charges only winding in one direction this may not be the best winder for those movements. ... show more

Update, unfortunately the motor has died. Which means this watch winder didn’t even last a year. So unfortunate but I no longer recommend gifting this to that special someone. Quality apparently just isn’t there. This is a unique piece I think in terms of a specialty piece this is definitely one. I actually got this for my husband. He can be difficult to buy for. It only holds one watch. But it is automatic. Absolutely the style and design is the most unique feature. The box is leather. It has straight stitching all around making it pop with the colors of the country. The watch winder has the adapter and it is easy to plug in. There is a on and off switch located in the back which is easy to access. There is nothing difficult about using the watch winder. It’s a more simple one to use. It’s great looking. My husband was so pleased with it. He had never seen one like this before. We were talking about how getting all the countries would be a really neat thing. It’s not only useful for those who wear watches on a daily basis but also an attractive decor piece. It can easily fit into a bedroom or man cave. The quality is very good.
