I've had to replace the strap on my Garmin 935 three times in the last 5 years. I'd say that's pretty good considering that I wear my watch daily. I mainly use my watch for hiking and running so I don't mind having to replace the strap here and there.

Bought it because the ring that keeps the end of the watch strap from flopping broke after 2.5 years. The kit to replace the watch was good and allowed me to clean a lot of gunk out. At this time I also replaced the strap even though the original wasn't broken because it was stretched out. Unfortunately, the strap ring broke today after 11 months, which means lot last about 1/3 as long as the original. The strap is doing okay, maybe a little more worn than the original was at this point. It was worth buying to get the proper screw drivers to take the strap off and clean, but other than that, not worth the money. Bottom line: **If you only need to replace the ring and you already have the screw drivers, just buy a set of the rings** ... show more

The knock-off products cost 65% less, but they aren't as comfortable and they potentially impact the usability of the watch...which really defeats the purpose. I tried one of the knock-offs, but came back to buy the Garmin version as it's simply more comfortable.
