It can be a greater challenge installing ham radios that do not have a detachable head especially in todays vehicles. I mounted this TS-50 using a transmission hump mount bolted to the rear center console. I ordered 2 of these by mistake but I love this product so much that I cancelled my return and decided to use it on a radio with a detachable head. The mount is small but it doesn’t need to be huge to hold a vhf/uhf mobile radio. I would purchase it again if needed.
