Wow. The product designer of this bed deserves to win a design award. I bought the king size and assembled in my small bedroom. Before I list the qualities of the bed, a small shipping detail said a lot about the company selling it. Like most packaged items, it was protected by fitted styrofoam. I have never seen this, but each styrofoam piece was wrapped in plastic. That means static-y little pieces of styrofoam did not break off and cling to everything, the bed, the room, my hands. The bed is easy to assemble. It is joined by solid metal bolts in solid receptacles, and there are dowels to seat everything, even the bed slats. There are extra parts. The bed is solid wood, not a veneer over flimsy particleboard. It looks like a much more expensive bed. The smallest details were thought through. The slats attach with velcro and dowels. I slept on it last night and it was solid and not creaky. Now, when I assemble such furniture, I glue it as I go along, which makes the furniture very stable. If one does that, one wants to be very careful about following directions exactly, orienting every piece correctly. This was easy for this bed. I'd buy from this company any time.

UPDATED! The missing parts were sent. This bed is in our quest room and so far so good. In seems decently sturdy and a good value for the price. You wouldn’t want to jump on it or go crazy but otherwise I am definitely approving so far. Missing Parts!!!! I could handle if it was a bolt or two but this is HALF the LEGS. It only arrived with two. I double checked the picture and the instructions. It is supposed to come with 4, never mind there is nothing else to supplement them. I would really love this bed I believe. Still waiting on a response back about the two missing legs. Will update as soon as there is a resolution. Looks lovely, the wood seems sturdy too.

As the images show, I did make one modification to the bed. More on that at the end. I will start with all the things I really like about the bed. The packaging for shipment was excellent. There was an exterior shipping box, then the bed frame was in another complete box inside. All the components were protected with a thin white film and there was plenty of foam around the components. The bed arrived in perfect condition. The finish on the wood, which is real wood, not particle board, was very nice. While the look is rustic, the finish is even and very nice looking. Assembly was easy as all the parts were clearly labeled. The assembly instructions consisted of pictures with each component labeled and the steps clearly illustrated. So, now the modification. I found it strange that the end and side boards were not directly mechanically attached to the corner leg but instead just butted up to the leg. There were wood dowels that served to align the side/end boards to the leg, but they are not really weight bearing. Only the corner board linked the side/end boards to the leg and my concern was that over time it would squeak. The modification I made was to add inner braces to attach the side/end boards to the legs. This should help the stability of the bed along with the load bearing capacity. Perhaps this is not necessary, but what the heck, it sure wont hurt. Overall, very pleased with the bed frame. I would buy it again. Oh, and they shipped it right away which was an added plus!
