We had to drape a towel over and hammer the frame together to make sure it wouldn’t come apart. Shipping box arrived badly damaged but the bed itself was wrapped quite well, no major damage but upon assembly found water damage and mold inside of the headboard and also a bent in the headboard. No way to contact seller. Contacted Amazon and the only option they gave me was to return the bed. I kept it anyway since already threw away the damaged shipping box, plus it’s a very heavy thing to pack and ship back but I feel a discount due to the defects would have been fair. ... show more

My son needed a new bed frame. He had a really high one to store things under his bed, but his mattress would slide off no matter what we did. He moves a lot in his sleep and would wake up in between his bed and the wall... Putting this together wasn't bad if you have a helper. It looks beautiful once it is done. Love that his mattress is recessed and can't possibly shift. I do have concerns about the headboard getting gross from greasy hair touching it now and then, but it should hopefully be fine since he's not so tall his head is touching it all the time. He lost a considerable amount of storage, but he's almost 16 and I think was just storing stuff to not get rid of it yet. Now half of it is sitting in my attic, but it's fine since the bed frame supports him and his mattress well. ... show more
