    • Great little boombox!
Great boombox for the price. Have a massive collection of cassettes so it's great to have the cassette player option. It's a bonus to have the micro SD card/USB flash drive options as well. As for the sound, I had no expectation that this would emulate a Sony or Bose so the quality is acceptable for the price. Love the fact that it's compact and takes up less space on my side table. Two things kept me from a 5-star review: First, the remote has limited functionality and is cheaply made, IMO. It doesn't seem to connect well with the sensor on the boombox, sometimes it works and sometimes not. The remote also uses a more specialized battery. If you are going to have a remote, please make it better quality which will use a double- or triple-A battery (even if this increases the price of the product). Second, I wish the boombox itself would have been available in black rather than just white. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase. ... show more

I was surprised by how good this combination radio, cd and tape player is. It played many old tapes that I had made many years ago and simply forgot about. None of my tapes have been broken by the player so far. Given the small size of the radio speakers I purchased some renewed Creative Labs GigaWorks T20 Series II 2.0 Multimedia Speaker System with BasXPort Technology for under $20 here on Amazon and the sound now is terrific. I added many of my favorite CD's and tapes to a USB flash drive and the radio plays them from the flash drive without my having to changed disks and tapes (last photo). I had some initial difficulty with the remote and the support was absolutely terrific. I would highly recommend them based on that alone as they were very responsive to an initial problem that was later resolved. ... show more

    • Small boombox is easy to find a place for and use.
I use this box to play cds. I wish the remote control has a volume control. Otherwise the unit works well and replaced a much larger multiple cd player. I made a USB drive using my laptop to play in my car and with this boom box, particularly for Christmas.

The cd player works, as well as the radio. I haven’t tried the cassette player because I don’t have any cassettes. I would’ve given 5 stars if it wasn’t for the remote. I couldn’t get it to work properly at all! I changed the battery even, to some I had on hand, then it worked a bit, but it was a hit and a miss as to whether each button would work. Definitely something to be aware of if this is part of the reason to buy this product. Hopefully I can get a replacement or something. Will update if so ... show more

    • Excellent sound quality for small boombox. Poor remote control.
For a small, fairly inexpensive boombox, this little machine has a lot of features and very good sound quality, however the remote control is almost useless. First, you must manually turn on boom box, then manually switch to desired mode. Even in desired mode, which by the way is not easily readable, the remote will not operate CD player unless you choose one of the playlist numbers. Fast forward, pause, and reverse are useless. Retekess really should think about spending an extra dollar or two on the remote and this little gem would get better ratings. ... show more
