This was a gift for my 2 year old and 4 year old for their birthday however it was really a gift for my husband and I. We take long car trips with them typically 4-12 hours and it kept them amused as entertained. I like that it doesn’t have to be a permanent fixture in my car and the picture and resolution are great. We were able to use these on a long road trip, which helped our kids tremendously! The batteryy lasted longer than I expected (they each used headphones instead of the speaker) and the ease of use was great once we figured it out. However, when I tried to remove the AV cord at a rest area, the tip snapped off INSIDE the port. There is a one year warranty, but I have no idea how to actually contact the company or use the warranty. ... show more

I just purchased this for a 20 hour road trip (20 hours each way yikes) coming up in a couple months. These are absolutely perfect for our needs and I would recommend them to anyone needing dvd players in the car for small children. Our children (5 and 2) are completely silent anytime we're in the car now. It's blowing our minds. Pros: 1. Comes with headrest straps AND bolt on headrest mount (BONUS - the mounts weren't listed in the description which was one concern I had but it actually did include bolt on mounts with tilt adjustment that seem nice enough) - We used the straps to keep it simply and easy to remove and they work great. I simply suck it on the metal spindles of the headrest and there's no rattles when driving or strap poking us in the head. And it looks pretty good. It has a kick stand as well to stand it up outside of the car. 2. The screens sync - only need 1 very simple cable to do this which is included. 3. Each has their own DVD player to play separate shows. 4. Rechargeable batteries - really like this feature. Most road trips wouldn't even require you to bring chargers for these things if you didn't want. The 5 hour charge time seems accurate. The kids have (on and off) watch two full length movies while in the car and the screens were still running strong before I finally hooked them up with steady power. 4. Comes with both cigarette adapter for charging both in the car or wall adapter. The wall adapter is handy because that is what our car has in the back seat. 5. Picture quality - not going to win any awards but its completely acceptable for the size of screen and format. 6. Loading a DVD is painless - the screen flips break away at the top and flips down for easy access. It hasn't skipped once while driving. 7. Menu is actually very simple and intuitive considering I've seen that most of these screens are not. 8. Has SD card and USB readers - I have not used these and don't have plans currently. 9. Has headphone out - we actually run an 3.5mm headphone cable to our auxiliary port in the car and listen through the speakers. We just push all the audio to the back of the car so we don't have to hear it much. 10. 10.5in screen is a great size. The entire device isn't all that thick. I've seen some that are very unwieldy. You can see in the first picture the screens are up tight against the seats. That is the thickness there's no weird part that sticks out beyond what you can see. 10. The price is great as well. I got these with a $20 coupon and it sweetened the deal, but if I needed new ones I'd buy these again. Cons: There aren't many and I knew these going in, but it's not a perfect product. 1. No HDMI - I knew this going in. It's for the car and last thing I want to mess with is hooking up a streaming device and making sure the hotspot is always running. I do like having options though and if you need HDMI these aren't the ones for you. 2. Audio - the built-in speakers get the job done but barely. Our kids can't handle headphones so we went with auxiliary cable to the car speakers. $6 on amazon cheap and easy fix to get great audio. FM transmitter would have been cool to keep it wireless those never sound that good either. 3. AV Cable length - tiny bit too short. Wish I had a little longer cable so I could run it better and hide it better, but it's long enough to pass. (worth noting the charging adapters seem plenty long). A new cord isn't a big deal to purchase fortunately. I looked at all of dvd monitors at Amazon and went to Best Buy and Walmart. All of them were missing something or had some gotcha. HDMI was the gotcha for me on this one but in the end the simple setup is a blessing when you want to roll out quickly without jacking with picking out a show connecting to the internet. ... show more

    • DOESNT WORK AFTER 1 USE!!!!
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: 12/03 seller still hasnt contacted me and i cant find an option to contact them. So after i tried to used the screens for the second time they where getting super hot and had a super loud noise. I finally recorded a video where can hear it(even tho the volume is low) now sometimes the screens cant even get started at all… Totally waste of money. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We bought this screens to keep entertained our twins tru a long trip back in JULY … we used maybe once or twice and worked fine… now i took it out because i bought more long movies for a coming up trip and i wanted to test said movies… but the screens make this superrrr duper loud noise that i cant even hear the movie, also it goes blank and it doesnt stay close… oooh and when i finally make it to work it gets super HOT im scared it will blow out on anybody’s face….. i cant believe i paid almost $130 n it seems its totally garbage now after 4 months. It said it had a long warranty, but i cant even contact the seller(doesnt give me the option) and amazons cant do anything cuz its already more than 1 month. ... show more

I love the dvd players. I like how the DVD players can play their own movies, have separate chargers or a joint charger, and how the dvd player stays on the headrest. Great quality for dvd player and headrest setup. Customer service was fast and friendly.

I loved the idea of these and my son was so excited but during the first use, the video would randomly stop and shut down. Tried to reset it, stopped car and made sure everything was plugged in but it wouldn’t work. Too bad! Will try to reach out to customer service to see whether we just got a lemon piece. ... show more

I ordered this set of DVD players and a month after purchase I finally turned on the second monitor only to find the screen damaged. I contacted customer service and they had a new one sent to me within two days!!! I was shocked it only took two days!! Great customer service. Perfect DVD players for on the go.
