    • Great power in a compact construction
I always wanted a power impact wrench to work on motorcycles. I finally pulled the trigger after doing my research and reading many reviews. I noticed all the contractors coming to my house have some Milwaukee tools. When I asked them about Milwaukee quality, they all spoke highly of the tool quality and service. So I decided to give the brand a try. This is my first Milwaukee tool. I used to be a DeWalt fan when they were a sponsor of Yamaha MotoGP team. Anyway of my different models from Milwaukee family I chose Stubby 3/8 due to its sufficient torque and compact construction. So far I haven't needed the top torque but the tool has been working great. It holds comfortable in hand and the battery has a lot of juice in it. I charge it way less often than I expected. So far the only complaint I have is taking off sockets or wrenches requires a bit effort. It doesn't seem to have a release mechanism like some ratchets do. You push a button and the socket drops. It's a wish-to-have feature, rather than a complaint. ... show more

Out of all the specialty tools out of all the pneumatic impacts, this tool is amazing. For only being 3/8 it still can remove lug nuts, as long as your bolts/nuts arent rusted on there. I'm still shocked from how small this truly is, everytime I use it I chuckle a bit from it being so small and yet so very powerful. The battery life is great for the two batteries you get. Swapped two cars winter tires to summer and it only drained the battery a 1/4 bar on the small battery. If you're hesitating because the price or because you think it wont perform well. Don't. You wont regret this tool. Would make an amazing junk yard run tool, bring some pen lube and have at it. 10/10 happy customer. Fast shipping amazing product. ... show more

So far this thing is a beast. I have used it to takeoff Lugnuts suspension parts and it does it with ease. I have also use this thing to do interior pieces when you switch it over to setting one so I pretty much use this thing as an all-around tool, plus the small size of it makes it easy to get into really tight spaces. Ever buy a tool and wonder how you lived your life before it? That's how I feel about this. It's size and power have allowed me to not have to use my hand ratchet or air tools as much. It makes jobs faster and it's a little workhorse. If you're looking to venture into world of cordless tools make this your first purchase. It will cause the sun to shine on you at all times. My only gripe with this and most of the other cordless Milwaukee tools is the charger. It just looks so cheap. I have a ten year old Kobalt charger that looks better than this. It has an LCD screen that shows charging time and battery status. For what Milwaukee charges they could develop a nicer charger. I'll let it slide. ... show more

Bought this Milwaukee 2554-22 M12 FUEL Stubby kit as a replacement for my 3/8 inch snap-on CT761ADB impact wrench, and wow what a difference. Torque is unbelievable compared to the snap-on, coming from a certified technician it’s lightweight almost as much torque as my air 3/8 impact without dragging the cumbersome hose around. It is shorter in length making it easier to get those hard to reach fasteners. This with the right angle 3/8s Milwaukee impact makes engine bay work a breeze. Definitely recommend to a friend and especially if your sick of paying that snap-on premium for sub-par cordless impact, for half the price you get better performance and longer battery life with the included 4amp/hr battery it is without a doubt a must have if you’re a professional or up and coming automotive or mechanical technician. 10/10 ... show more

    • Powerful tool ! Can be too Powerful BE CAREFUL !
Professional Mechanic and I use this tool every. Single. Day. Pros: It beats having to use a ratchet to tighten or loosen bolts, especially when the supervisors breathe down your neck for more speed. Need to replace a valve cover gasket for instance ? This will get everything off and back in within half the time it would take using a high tooth count ratchet. Cons: Using it day in and day out, you can easily forget what setting you’re on from your previous job. BE AWARE AT ALL TIMES ! Say your shop is busy and you’re changing brakes out and working on, let’s say a valve cover gasket again, for sake of argument. BOOM, bang out the brakes, done. Get right on the valve cover. DONE, removed the bolts, changed the gasket. Time to tighten them up. SNAP ! F*** ! Setting was left on 3 when you should’ve put it on the final 4th setting that stops torque at 10ft-lbs. Winning combination would be this and Milwaukee’s M12 Ratchet. This is for some medium-light jobs, then you can switch out for the ratchet for the light-to-lighter jobs. ... show more
