    • Great for keeping the kids occupied in the car.
Our old Dodge Grand Caravan had a built-in DVD player and it was really nice for the kids on long trips. Now we have upgraded to a Ford E-350 without a built-in DVD player. So here we are. This is a good DVD player. Easy to set up, easy to use, no problems. The secondary screen is noticeably lower-resolution than the primary, but I don't think the kids really can tell the difference. This can be used with only the primary screen, by the way. Especially in a smaller vehicle, you may only need the one. It just depends on your setup and on how many people want to watch and where they are seated. It does look like a lot of cords hanging between the seats, yes, but this isn't a problem for us. A power cable and an A/V cable between the screens (both included) are necessary in order for the second screen to work. The built-in speakers are not very loud, but we just plug a 3.5 mm cable (not included, but easy to find) into the headphone jack and run the sound through the vehicle speakers via the dashboard Aux port. Another feature that I am loving is the flash drive port (SD port also included). I picked up a 128GB flash drive for $17 and I downloaded DVD-ripping software. Now I can save my DVD movies as mp4 files and bring 60+ movies on the road with me on my flash drive. No need to haul discs or switch between discs while driving; it's all on the flash drive and easily accessible with the remote! Great product! No complaints. ... show more

    • Good Picture, Surprising Sound
We had a previous car DVD player that went out and the local store no longer had anything in-stock, so we decided to order online. Wonnie players had received good reviews so we decided to purchase and were pleasantly surprised. The image quality was VERY good, especially compared to that of our previous player, which admittedly had been a few years old. I especially liked that, unlike our previous player, Wonnie actually *thought through how the player would be set-up* in a car - as in, all the hookup cords are long enough to be looped under the bottom edge of the front seat's center console instead of hanging across the space between headrests. We can also hook up a phone to the screens and play video that way (we did have to play with formatting a couple times to get it right) which was a detail we did not have in our previous player either. I am also impressed with the sound quality of the player. Like, holy cow! The sound quality! While driving, we can keep the volume on level 3-4 and it's plenty loud. As a test, while parked in our driveway, (Okay! I was playing with it!) I sat in the third row and turned the volume all the way up - it was almost too much. But I can definitely see where, if you have multiple kids talking/laughing/squealing, having that volume capacity would be useful. Of course, both screens have the option for headphones as well, so that is nice. The only issue that I have noticed is that the remote control does have some limitations. It works rather well up close, but from the off-sides it obviously loses some functionality. Because my kids are still relatively young (3.5 & 5) the number of buttons and controls on the remote is a little too busy for them to manage effectively on their own, so I do still have to do some of that for them. Wish there was a simpler remote layout or perhaps a wider remote signal for better control from the front seat by parents of small children. It's a small detail that won't matter as much as my kids age, but perhaps a detail that could be addressed in later models. ... show more

This is such a nice set of DVD players! My husband set these up pretty fast. We used them on our recent road trips from California to Michigan and vice versa. The picture quality is great, --it is crisp! I love that it never skipped once, even on a bumpy road. It only plays on DVD, but not on Blu-ray movies. This came with a remote and the maximum volume is 20. The sound didn’t seem very loud but my daughter never complained about not being able to hear. It can play sound with or without headphones. It work using a 3.5 mm standard headphones jack or wired headphones but wont connect with wireless headphones. All wiring is long enough and is pretty easy to use and easy to store. The downsides was, halfway through our trips back to California when I took the car charger out of the power outlet, it broke/loose, and ended up some loose pieces got stuck inside the outlet. Also, the mounting bracket for the monitor doesn’t hold position so, every time we hit a bumpy road the screen falls to the lowest facing position. Overall, a good DVD sets, it definitely keep my daughter entertained. It just needs improvement on the mount bracket and the car charger. I will still recommend! ... show more
