It has that lovely cedar smell, so you can tell where you have sprayed. However I find it pricey, as you have to use so much of it to make a difference. I used 2 32 oz bottles for my small back yard. It helped a little bit. So I did it again, and this second time, it worked for about 3 weeks--I could actually go outside with no bites. However, that also wore off. I did it one more time (still using 2 containers) and again that worked for about 3 weeks. When I stopped using it because it was so expensive, the bugs came back with a vengeance. I bought some less expensive stuff, but it smelled of stale garlic so badly that I couldn't even keep it unopened in my garage. I returned it and bought more of this nice smelling product even though it is so costly. If you want safety for pets, people and plants with a pleasan odor, this is the product for you, but be prepared to keep respraying every 2-3 weeks if you want to be bug free. Cha ching!

I live in the Pasadena area which has a big mosquito problem this year. I couldn't wear shorts or short sleeves outdoors as mosquitos and no see ums would eat me alive. Tried using a DynaTrap. That was a waste of time and money. Bought Wondercide concetrate and made the solution (4oz in 1/2 gallon) and applied it using a Ryobi battery powered fogger. [The only issue I ran into was that I had to buy a 6 mAh battery for the fogger because my 1.5 mAh only ran for 10 min. But I digress]. Applied the solution to all the bushes, plants and grasses around my 1/2 acre yard. Smells like a cedar forest for a few hours. No prob with that. Three days later.. no bites at all. Butterflies and bees are unaffected (we've got lots). Started to lose effect after 6 or so days, so reapplied after a week. Let's see how it works long term.

I love this product because it does work after spraying the yard, but I found you have to spray morning and night for it to be effective in high intensity mosquito areas. Bees and butterflies continue to return after spraying and seem unaffected. If you get a hard rain fall then you have to start from the beginning again. Overall it’s better then anything else I’ve used.

Overall, I would rate this a ‘B+’. It does not kill the bugs on contact, nor does it keep them away from their nesting and hang out spots. However, it definitely knocked the population down a bunch after a few rounds of spraying. The positive side for me is that even tho it’s effectiveness is less than some other products, I like the ‘natural’ aspect of it versus the competitors nasty chemicals.

Thoroughly treated our small back yard the day I received the product, and also installed a highly rated flying insect trap the same day. The next morning I went out for a minute to check the trap, which had captured numerous flying insects, including mosquitoes, but was bitten several times on my arms and legs by no-seeums while checking the trap. I’m not sure what the answer is to eradicating the no-seeums, but this product is not it.

Spray this in my yard and the bugs are gone. I love that it is eco friendly and I do not have to worry about getting my animals or children sit. This product smells good, like most natural products and does really help keep the bugs away. Doesnt work the best on spiders but on the other ones it does!
