I live in apartment with a small kitchen with marble countertops. I have had small ants attacking my kitchen every day over the last month. They are sending troops of a few dozen ants each day. When I spray, they are taken care of on contact. Great! (Note: instructions say 18 inches away, that is too far for directed spraying so I am closer to 12 inches away) I can’t always see the entry point the ants are using. They seem to be searching for water - found in sink, coffeemaker which has water tank, and countertop ice maker, which also has a water reservoir, also non water surface on countertop above sink. When I wake up, the ants are in a general area that I did not spray recently. Since it is the kitchen, I am not spraying over all surfaces at same time, just where the ants are. I have sprayed on floor boards of kitchen with the dishwasher sink, and coffee maker and ice maker. They have not attacked the side with refrigerator and my countertop Aquasana water filter appliance! I find my eyes are slightly irritated from the fumes. My eyes are “aware” of the fumes after spraying. The slight irritation seems to last as long as the smell. I spray in the open kitchen but feel/smell it sitting in living room about 15 feet away. The product works so I continued use, even with minor eye irritation. (I can’t think of better word but irritation seems a little harsh, but this is why I removed one star.) Just finishing my first can after spraying a few times each day!

Perhaps I didn't read reviews closely enough but having use another wondercide spray before this that was peppermint fragranced and water based I expected the same sort of thing this time but in aerosol. Unfortunately this leaves an extremely oily and slippery residue wherever you spray it and given that its aerosol and sprays a wide arc it's actually a slipping hazard because my 8 yr old son actually did slide halfway across the floor after slipping on the residue. It was only after that that I realized. I then started trying to spray it more carefully but when trying to get a running roach that isn't really feasible and kind of defeats the purpose. Won't be purchasing again and will go back to the minty one with the trigger sprayer
