  • Beautiful artwork!
If you're looking for an epic Wonder Woman story, I recommend Grant Morrison's three-volume Earth One series. This is pre-Diana Amazon history that hopefully the upcoming Amazon miniseries will be inspired by. But the main reason to buy this is the gorgeous artwork! Originally three volumes in oversized comics, you get parts by Nicola Scott, Phil Jimenez and Gene Ha and extraordinary color. The slick pages really make for a huge palette and you will NOT be disappointed! ... show more

  • A masterpiece of art and a magnificent legend worthy of the goddess
One of the most brilliant collaborations of storytelling through word and picture that I have ever seen. Although i am sure the print version is breathtaking, i found the guided version of the Kindle essential to understanding the artist's daring vision in panels that explode with color and detail and the depth of Greek mythology. ... show more

  • The story is fantastic but the scanning is pretty poor
The overall story and mythology behind the Amazons are great. I love the new take on their origins, and the design for each of the Amazons is incredible. However, the scanning of the pages is really poor in some places. In some panels, it was hard to see what exactly I was supposed to be looking at.

  • Absolutely gorgeous artwork
I am purposely not finishing this book quickly because it’s such a pleasure to read it slowly and drink in the artwork. Definitely one that you want a hard copy of instead of electronic.

  • So f-ing good!
I had to stop after book one and text all my women about it. Just gushing, "I know y'all don't read comics, BUT!" I had read some Pretty Deadly and was pretty impressed by DeConnick before, but this was (chef's kiss). I've been thinking about it since listening to Fry's Mythos, but I wondered if Hera the petty and vindictive, shallow and jealous, was perhaps an artifact of most of these stories being collected & written by (and undoubtedly for) men, where poor Zeus is bedevilled by his psychotic wife. I thought there should be lost stories by women and modern stories reclaiming her, like re-terraforming land, for women - but I didn't find any. Until now. And that is just one of the many reasons I enjoyed this GN. ... show more

  • MOST BEAUTIFUL WORK FROM DC SINCE FOREVER
Worth the purchase for the art alone. It's so beautifully illustrated, it has become one of my all time favorites just to stare at. The hardcover is very well put together, with an oversized format. it's a must buy.
