    • A pathetic end to a once great series
Kirkman clearly lost his way. In his afterword to this final volume he talks about how he wasn't sure if he did the right thing by ending the series this way, and after reading these last issues I can confirm that he didn't. Oh well. Glad I can stop buying these, so at least there's that!

I'm really glad I took the time to read the entire comic book series from beginning to end. As a long time viewer of the television show I was becoming increasingly anxious to see how the story would end (now that it has an end). More importantly I wanted to view this epic tale of survival as Robert Kirkman intended, and to experience it through the characters and events as they were originally written. Sad to see it end but all good things must end. They tie up the series pretty good. There could be lots of characters that get their own stories off of these series. Lets see what the future brings. Great job to the writers and the artists who have kept our attention thru 16 books.

Many series end on a disappointing note. This ending is fitting. Not mind-blowing but I’m absolutely okay putting my Walking Dead books to rest. It was a great ride.
