This coat is plenty for where I live in the US. There's always a good 4-8 week period where it gets cold enough to need a coat. And not just cold, but the wind chill is biting. So I wanted something that would specifically help break the wind up. It's light weight and comfortable in that it doesn't feel overbearing. It feels the same when driving. I've had coats that bunch up when sitting down. The overall quality is nice, though the inside "sherpa" part feels underwhelming. It would be great if there was a way to unzip that part from the rest of the coat. So far, the zipper hasn't gotten caught on itself. Even if it did, that's just to be expected with any jacket or backpack. Pockets are deep, though as a general rule I don't use jacket pockets unless it's a quick in and out of the store. Overall a good coat for the price. It's not a hardcore jacket for extremely colder areas, but will suffice for most cold seasons altogether.

I recently purchased this Women's Winter Coat, and I’m very impressed! Here are some key points: Features: - Waterproof: This coat keeps me dry in wet weather, which is a must for winter. - Long Puffer Style: It provides great coverage and warmth. - Detachable Hood: I love that I can remove the hood when I don’t need it. - Pockets It has a side pocket and an inner pocket, which are perfect for keeping my essentials secure. - Fleece Lining: The fleece lining adds an extra layer of warmth and comfort. Fit and Comfort: - I’m 5’11” and weigh 165 lbs, and I ordered a large. I’m actually suuuuper impressed with this coat! I live in Alaska and was looking for a new coat that would be good for day-to-day activities in winter (driving to work, running errands, little winter walks, etc) and this seems like it’ll work great! Things I appreciate about it: the sweatshirt-style cuffs; that the pockets zipper closed instead of button; that the hood is detachable; how soft the faux fur on the hood is; how soft and warm the inside feels; and how well the main zipper works. The one thing I didn’t enjoy is that the flap over the main zipper velcros shut instead of having buttons; but the upside is that the Velcro pops apart easily when you unzip the zipper (just pull straight down and it glides through the Velcro; no need to undo each one with your hands). Also, the hood isn’t super sturdy so it kind of falls in your face… and due to how the hood attaches, it’ll continue to flop a bit unless you tie the drawstrings to help give it some structure. But hoods are the thing I use least on coats, so this isn’t a dealbreaker. I do wish the burgundy was a bit darker in color, maybe closer to an oxblood, but that’s personal preference. The medium fits really nicely; I do wish the inside had a bit of a cincher to enhance my waist since I’ve got a larger butt and smaller waist, but that doesn’t affect how the coat performs. So far, seems to be worth the money! Not sure that this is a -20 to -40° coat, like living in Fairbanks, but for easy winter stuff down here in Anchorage, I think this will be great!

This is a 5-star coat. From the soft fur around the hood to the nicely stitched deep pockets. I'm 5’4“ to 5’5” around 270, and this coat falls to my knees but doesn't affect mobility. I've tried it on but because it's not been cold enough yet to wear it out. I got overheated while moving around the house to be able to give an honest review, and I was ready to take it off; it's that warm! It has a pocket on the inside that is convenient. This is a high-end coat with (even usually higher if plus size) a friendly price tag! This will be my black winter coat for years to come, undoubtedly. The hood is detachable.
