5’3” 150 lbs. Yes, Amazon suggested I get a Large, but I ignored and bought an Extra Large because I wanted to make sure there was room for clothing underneath and not snug. Well, I was wrong — it was way too large. I am exchanging for a large and will update after receiving. Otherwise, very light, pretty, nice fabric, very watersealed zippers, etc. I think they called it light green but definitely aqua, as I wanted! Large is still a bit loose and sleeves too long, but it’s fine, I just roll sleeves up a bit and happy for it to be loose because you’re body can’t breathe too well in this fabric in high heat. It is very helpful that it has long pit zippers to get some air in!

Ran a 5K (slowly - 13:39 min/mile) during major rain in March... not ideal. This jacket did a good job of keeping me dry for most of the run but after a 20 min wait to start and a 43min run the jacket was starting to soak through a bit. The hood stayed in place the whole race, and you could see the rain beading off when I would shake my head (yes, like a dog). Overall, I like the jacket. Lots of pockets for carrying stuff, mostly water resistant, and very light weight.

Now that I’m living someplace where “rain” means “deluge,” I needed a better rain running jacket. I realized that my old one was actually water resistant - fine when you just run through drizzle, but not fine when you live someplace where spring and fall means a lot of heavy rainfall. So, I haven’t run with this jacket yet, but I’m really excited. I got a Medium (in jackets, I’m typically XS - S) so that I could move and could wear a warm layer underneath, if needed, because I knew this was just a shell. Medium is going to work great - I’m not swimming in it and it won’t blow like a sail around me LOL, but I could definitely fit a base layer and mid layer underneath. It is definitely waterproof and not water resistant - you can tell as soon as you touch it. Seams are taped, wrists are adjustable with Velcro, and the pit zippers are going to be great for body temp management. It folds into its own pocket and has a little carrying strap. Great reflective elements all over and I appreciate the yellow - great to be visible when running in the rain. One surprise I didn’t expect was that the hood can be rolled and tucked underneath a Velcroed section. I love that because it is only rare that I would want to wear a hood while running (reduced visibility and noise), but when a hood is loose, it’s collecting water, so this is just perfect. I’ll update this review if things go terribly wrong when I go for a run, but I expect great things!

I have had this jacket for two months now and it’s amazing. It’s completely water proof and the hood is so great. It keeps you dry. It also turns into a tiny bag so if you are done wearing it you don’t have the carry around the jacket. I don’t have any problems with the zippers unlike the other reviews. I really think this is the best rain jacket I’ve ever owned and I had a north face one. Highly recommend.
